Tournament Notes: For the third-straight season, North Dakota
advances
to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight held March 17-20 in Pine Bluff,
Ark.
UND will meet Kennesaw State, the South Atlantic Region champ, in
the
quarterfinal round. The North Central Region champion has won the
past
six national titles. North Dakota and Kennesaw State have not previously
met in basketball.
Last Action: UND downed Augustana 84-62 and North Dakota State
83-60 to
win the North Central Regional. Katie Richards, who was named the
tournament’s most valuable player, scored 47 points in the two
games.
Kami Winger, also named to the all-tournament team, snared 33 rebounds
in the two games, including a career-high 17 rebounds in the final.

contest and
