Sioux stomp Morningside

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Kami Winger poured in 26 points and pulled down 12 boards as North Dakota remained undefeated by trouncing Morningside 102-73 in a North Central Conference women's basketball game Saturday.

After a close 10 minutes, the Sioux went on a 36-8 run in the final 10:54 of the first half to grab a commanding 21 point lead on the way to their 42nd consecutive victory.

UND dominated the glass, by out-rebounding the Mustangs 24-11 on the offensive glass and 23-10 on points off rebounds.

Jenny Crouse had 23 points including five 3-pointers, while teammate Jaime Pudenz added 19 points with four 3-pointers.

Winger now has 1,050 career points which puts her in twelfth place on the UND all-time scoring list.

The Sioux (14-0 overall) will play Minnesota State-Mankato on Jan. 15.
