Sioux Rebound from First Loss

Dec.14/1999 - On the same day, the UND women's basketball team droped to No. 2 in the nation, it rebounded from Saturday's loss with an 87-69 victory over Minnesota-Duluth at the Hyslop Sports Center. Jenny Hoffner scored a career-high 19 points and three others hit double figures as the Sioux closed out the non-conference home schedule and improved to 7-1.

Mandy Arndtson added 16 points, while Theresa LeCuyer and Katie Richards chipped in 15 and 11, respectively. UND used a 10-3 run in the second half to break open a close game, then scored the game's last eight points (over 4:30) to cruise to the win.

The Sioux now travel to Hilo, Hawaii for the Coconut Coast Classic Sunday and Monday for the final two non-conference games of 1999-2000. The NCC slate begins January 2 at Northern Colorado.
