Don Tapscott is famous for his knowledge of business strategies in the digital age.  He is a consultant, author, speaker, and entrepreneur.  He is the child of two teachers and is a husband and father of 2 children.  An inspiration for writing Growing Up Digital was overhearing his daughter and her new friend discussing using fax machines and email to stay in touch.  Don Tapscott has written or co-written several other books, including The Digital Economy and Paradigm Shift. His most recent book is Digital Capital.  Don Tapscott is the chariman of the Alliance for Converging Technologies - a think tank funded by many of the world's leading businesses.  He is the president of the New Paradigm Learning Corporation.  He co-founded Digital 4Sight which researches and designs new business models.  He is also the chairman of Maptuit.  Don Tapscott holds a B.Sc. in Psychology and Statistics, an M.Ed. specializing in Research Methodology and a Doctor of Laws (Hon) granted from the University of Alberta in 2001.  He has been actively involved in educational reform as well as mental health issues.
