1974/75 Catalogue - C231
Cassette Recorder.
Styled differently,
but internally identical to the C235, which was my first Grundig Cassette
Recorder. My machine was built at the Northern Ireland factory, which was
to the best of my knowledge, the only factory ever to win the Queen's award
for Export for Cassette Recorders, with over 3 million machines, of several
different models, exported. This was a truly outstanding machine, Solidly
built, reliable, and with great sound. The C231/235 was replaced in 1976
by the C260, which looked the same as the C235,
but with a fold-down handle instead of a retracting one, as shown here.
