The following are sources
of instruction books, and other technical support documentation.
Please note: On some
of these documents, the instructions shown for wiring the plug for the
mains supply refer to the UK 13 amp plug, and wiring colours. Please do
not follow these instructions if you are not in the UK. Observe local wiring
convention or consult a qualified electrician.
My Scans:
Signal
500 4 band radio Instruction booklet. (Also applies to many other mid-1970's
radios that have a similar control layout)
Documents from elsewhere:
Satellit 700: The entire
English section of the Satellit 700 Owners manual (34 pages!) is
available as a .pdf file from the website of Peter Proulx. Click
here to visit his website, and click
here to download the manual. Note: this is a big file, 23 M/b, so may
take a while to download. Dial up users may wish to do it away from home,
if you know what I mean! You will need Adobe Acrobat to read it, get that
here
Satellit 650: The entire
service manual of the Satellit 650 is available in several .pdf files from
the website of Paul A. Delabastita. Click
here to visit his website, and click
here to go to the Satellit 650 manual download page. You will also
need Adobe Acrobat to read this, download that from the link above if needed.
Satellit 500: The important
and entire manual for the 500, INCLUDING the supplement for the later modified
version with 3 lamps and many more changes, is available here,
with huge thanks to Fabrizio Magrone, again Adobe Acrobat is needed, so
if you haven't got it, use the link above.
At the "Grundig Satellit Warehouse":
Instruction books for:
Satellit 300: (in 9 .jpg
files, large format for high-quality printing) (Note: this manual is the
early, "red cover" manual for the early Satellit 300, not the 300a. However,
the only functional difference covered is that the external antenna socket
on early models is SW and FM only, on the 300a, it is for all wavebands.)
Satellit 500: (in 4 bundles
of 7 .jpg pages each, self-extracting zip files)
Satellit 500 Brief Operating
Instruction booklet (in 1 self-extracting zip bundle, with thanks to Michael
Bannerman)
Satellit 1400: (in 2
bundles, self-extracting zip files)
Circuit Diagram for:
Grundig Satellit 600
The English sections
of the above manuals, and the circuit diagram for the Satellit 600 are
held in the Grundig Satellit Warehouse. (The 650 is similar, though not
identical to the 600, so you may find the information you need in these
diagrams too.) We'll be adding more as we get around to scanning them.
To get them, click
here to go to the download page.
Instruction books for:
Ocean Boy 350
Ocean Boy 400
Ocean Boy 500
Ocean Boy 510
Yacht Boy 360
are also held in .pdf
format at the warehouse, click
here to go there.
At Radiolabs website:
There are quite a few manuals
for download here, but they don't like hotlinking (ie/ me providing a link
taking you straight to their manuals download page, they only like links
to the homepage, and since they've been so kind as to collect and make
these manuals available, how could I not agree to their request?) so go
to www.radiolabs.com and click on
"support" then "downloads". They are also a repair faciltity, and though
I cannot vouch for them personally, they seem professional. Sadly, at present,
they are not providing service for Grundig radios, possibly due to parts
supply issues, but if enough people request work from them, maybe they'll
reconsider?
At the Lextronix/Grundig
US website:
There are a few documents
at this website, Owners manuals are among them, and can be found in the
download section.
Click
here to go to their site, click on "Download" when there, and then
on the product you want support for.
