The elevation panel (Correct name in the parts list is "Folding Support") is sometimes criticized for being flimsy. I find it perfectly adequate for the job, but I do have a second YB500, bought secondhand, where the stand was already broken. Replacements are still available (late 2002!) and the part number is 15056-016-01.
