Methamphetadream You can draw your own conclusions, but soon enough you’ll find Settling down with your illusions will only leave you blind I can feel the air’s pollution setting in your mind I have no answers, solutions, just pass me the strychnine And blow it all to pieces, singing Jesus doesn’t save The world it never ceases to confuse, amuse, amaze me Sunlight pours around me, oh how curious the flame How strange the light behaves reflecting off you while you bathe There is nothing left here, when everything left is right Thank you for your magic thoughts, and all your tortured insides Wine is mighty fine when mixed with Quaaludes and some time I have never seen my hands; the moon could soon be mine And blow it all to pieces, singing Jesus doesn’t save The world it never ceases to confuse, amuse, amaze me Sunlight pours around me, oh how curious the flame How strange the light behaves reflecting off you while you bathe In clouds of smoke, all you taught me was a joke Vanishing, quicker than our hopes and dreams Carry me; I can’t seem to find my feet All I see are these methamphetadreams |
Song Background This song is about addictions, methamphetamines being the drug in this case. It's written as a sporratic tweaker rant (at times coherent and at times incredibly and ridiculously over stated.) It has that tweaker desparity (everything is confusing, everything is amusing, everything is amazingly overwhelming and dramatic.) Life as a methamphetamine addict is only good as long as you've got your rat poison on your side. It's about that minor loss of reality which eventually turns full throttle in the chorus singing "Jesus doesn't save." As if Meth did ? -Brian- |
