Ridiculous Metal Videos
Metal. People take it too seriously. It does seem to command some form of seriousness, I suppose. But if you take a step back, singing about slaying dragons, worshipping the devil, and glory and honour are really not something that should be taken seriously.
Some metal bands make music videos (for whatever reason). I think that metal music videos may be the best reason not to take metal seriously. Below are some nice examples, complete with screenshots and links to the videos themselves, if they exist. Prepare to laugh yourself to death.
Immortal - "Call of the Winter Moon"

This is the video that inspired this page on my site. It may be one of the funniest things ever.
Immortal is a black metal bands, and black metal is all about being grim and evil (dare I say, fierce?). However, a guy in a wizard hat and cape running around the forest doesn't strike me as any of these adjectives. The torch in broad daylight doesn't seem to be worth much either, except for the fact that the guy carrying it blows fire countless times for no reason. Aimless running, hilarious posing, and purposless fire breathing. Combine it with horribly done filming and you have yourself one of the funniest metal videos there is. Fucking fierce. You can get the whole thing by clicking the link above.
Kaledon - "The New Kingdom"

Let me preface this by letting you know that I don't actually listen to this band. I have more self-respect than that. Kaledon is an Italian power metal group. My friends and I wanted to make videos like this as jokes. The thing that is funny about this is you can tell that the singer thinks he's really cool. Oh, and the fact that they reuse all of the shots from the bridge and the chorus each time it occurs. And that everything is obviously overly rehearsed (hand movements?). I'd also be willing to bet that the singer is stuffing his pants, otherwise he shouldn't be able to sing like that.
Rhapsody - "The Magic of the Wizard's Dreams"

This video is ridiculous, but it is really cool. Rhapsody is another Italian power metal band, only they prefer to call themselves "symphonic epic Hollywood metal." Their claim to fame is being backed by an orchestra, not keyboards like most similar sounding groups. The idea is to make the listener feel like they are in a movie about medieval times, or something to the like. That would explain the special guest singer in this video, except he volunteered. He is the reason this video is so cool. He is Saruman...I mean...Count Dooku. Something like that.
