Jim and Blair didn't believe it, not only were they flying in a top secret stealth jet heading off to rescue a new mutant from a government run facility, they were now members of a secret group of people who are sworn to protect new mutants from being captured and placed into stasis pods or used to capture others like themselves to use for nefarious purposes. That and they also had on strange but cool looking rings with some very impressive bells and whistles attached to them. Blair was looking at his ring and analyzing it's design. "Adam, these rings look tribal."

Adam looked back at his new team member, "Yes, they do, I thought that they should be pleasing to the eye as well as functional."

"You did a very good job at that," Jim said looking at his own ring. "They look good to a sentinel's eyes, that's for sure. I will have to get used to the small vibration though."

"And a ferals." Shalimar added with a little smirk.

"So, what is our plan?" Brennan asks.

"Well, the girls will cause a little distraction at the front gate, Brennan, you and Jesse will go and see if you can overtake Mr. Thorne and Ms. Macevoy, and Jim and Blair and I will go see if we can't free Mr. Myers." He nods at the Jim and Blair.

"That just might work," Jim says.

"Oh yeah, Brennan and Jesse will love to get their hands on those two." Emma said with a little knowing smile at her two teammates and friends.

"This should be fun." Deana said smiling at her new leader. Adam bowed his head at her. She had liked the man from the very beginning.

When they got there the girls set to distracting at the front gate and Jesse and Brennan had located Thorne and Macevoy.

"Hey, Frank! Kendra! remember us?!" Brennan said as he and Jesse walked up behind the two new mutant GSA agents.

"Well well well, isn't it Mutant X's finest." Frank said to Brennan.

"Is Toni with you?" Kendra asks.

"No, I'm real sorry to disappoint the two of you but what you see is what you get." Jesse says. They then go into a fight and before too long the two Mutant X members have Frank and Kendra out cold on the floor.

"Nice work brother, now let's get going. Adam, done here, we will meet you at the Helix." Brennan says.

"Good." he heard from the ring.

Adam, Jim, and Blair find the student strapped to a seat with his head forward asleep. "Steve, wake up." Adam says patting his face softly." Steve awakens shocked to see Jim and Blair with Adam. "We will explain later, let's go."

They free him from the chair and head out to the Double Helix. Jim on full sentinel alert and Blair watching his back. Adam had to marvel at how the two of them worked together. He was definitely glad that they were on his side. Everyone met at the jet and were on their way home to Sanctuary. "Nice work people. Nice work."

"I gave you two a second chance and this is what I get." Eckhart said looking at the two in front of his desk.

"Sir, Adam had three new people helping him out. We never stood a chance." Kendra Macevoy said.

"Well, Adam sure has a way of surprising us doesn't he?" Eckhart replied.

"Yes, but he won't be surprising us again." Thorne added.

"No doubt." Eckhart said and dismissed the two. He would think of what to do with them later. Now he had to think of another plan.

Everyone was assembled at the main floor to Sanctuary. Adam stood there looking at his teammates. They had grown by three in the past twenty four hours and he knew that he had made a good decision by including the sentinel and guide into the team. He had never seen anything like he did watching them work at Genomex.

"Well, I say that we did quite well today ladies and gentlemen." Adam said to the group.

"I think that the GSA will think twice the next time around." Shalimar said.

"You're damn right they will and Blair and I will be there too." Jim added. Shalimar patted the sentinel on his back. They had bonded over the short time. Partly due to the fact that they both had heightened senses.

"Blair and I will keep an eye out for new mutants at the university and Blair will continue to do so when he is out working with Jim."

"Yeah and I can't wait to get to work on learning more about my powers." Blair added. "They must be connected to the shaman thing."

"Yes, I believe that you are right Blair. And, I will be there to help you with them." Adam said looking at the anthropologist.

"And I will make sure that he gets all the practice that he can stand." Jim said with a devilish tone.

"And so will I." Deana said and went over to wrap an arm around Blair's.

"See, Adam, he is enjoying this way too much." Blair says to the older man. All of the Mutant X members laugh at what Blair said.
