IT has been stated that Ozgen Imamoglu - arrested at his house with CD's and video cassettes related to child pornography as part of the international 'Landmark' operation - will be tried with a demand of up to a 95-year prison sentence. As a result of the examination of the 128 CD's, 16 video cassettes and computer which were found in his house, a formal charge was prepared for Imamoglu, who - it has become certain - committed the crimes of 'attempted rape and kidnap' of 11 children in Bursa. In the case of 3 children, the defendant, Imamoglu, will be tried for the crime of 'kidnap'. A total of up to a 95-year prison sentence will be requested for the defendant, for whom separate sentences are demanded related to every child. Moreover, the defendant has not yet paid the 1,875 million lira ($1,500) fine which he was given for the crime of 'trading pornography on the internet'. If the defendant, Imamoglu, does not pay the money by Friday, a criminal trial will be opened for his pornography trade. Bursa Public Prosecutor Emin Ozler pointed out that the previous 'out of jurisdiction' verdict given for Imamoglu had been misunderstood and that it only covered the crimes of 'rape and attempted rape' which had been committed in Gaziantep.
