In an operation arranged with the cooperation of Police General Headquarters Security Division Presidency and Istanbul Police Headquarters, nearly 10 thousand porn film CD's were seized. Porn films in which 5 to 6 year-old children took part were also found. The CD's of these films were sent to Interpol to determine in which country they were filmed. The internet site on which the films were marketed was closed down. Work has begun to arrest the people who filmed and took part in those porn films which were made in Turkey. Of the 4 people who were arrested, 3 of them were given a fine of 2,856 million lira ($2,000) each. The porn sellers - who said "We were having difficult meeting demand" - were set free to be tried without being detained.
Among the seized CD's, porn films in which 5 to 6 year-old children were forced into sexual relations with adults were also found. Police determined that child porn films were marketed for between 100 and 200 dollars on the site where the adult porn films were sold for 2 million lira (less than $2).
Paralysed K.Y., who said that he had been doing this job for about 2 years, emphasising that they hadn't forced anyone to do anything, said in a statement which he made to the police "I don't know how the films were made. I only market them to my customers on the internet. There was a great deal of demand. I was taking tens of orders every day. Sometimes we weren't able to get the CD's to the customers."
