The Cadette Girl Scout Silver Award is the second highest award that can be be earned by a Girl Scout. It is the highest award at this level. This award is available to every Cadette Girl Scout who wishes to earn it. It's not easy, but the experience is quite rewarding!

There are several pre-requisites that must be completed before you begin your actual project. These include:

Three IPPs that will relate in some way to your project.

Earning the Dreams to Reality patch.

Earning the Cadette GS Leadership Award or the Leadership IPP.

Earning the Cadette Girl Scout Challenge.

After these are done (in any order), you may begin to work on your Silver Award Project. The project may be done in or out of Girl Scouting - it must have some aspect of community service though, and it should be something that you want to do. If you do your project within Girl Scouting, you should use an outside resource that will let you reach out into your community.

The project should take thirty hours from planning to completion. The actual project should take between seven hours and ten hours. Obtain a copy of the Silver Award Report Form from the Montachusett Girl Scout Council to keep a record of your work.
