base of the nose and appear to part of its nostrils.  There seems to
be some kind of valve at the base with a hefty chain dangling from its
lever.  You also see a hatch.

groups.  Two giant, round windows (the Dragon's eye when seen from the
outside) provide a compelling view.  Two large pipes lead down through
the floor directly alongside a small hatch.  You also see a flared
opening, what appears to be some kind of log attached by a wire to the
panel and an airlock.

You come upon the northern edge of the clearing.  Dense underbrush and
closely-spaced pines made progress northward something you would
rather not contemplate.  The shadowy presence of the black obsidian
dome dominates your view, even here.  The area also is the
northernmost outpost of the cluster of huts, with one lying to the
side of the path's end.
Obvious paths: southeast, southwest.
Apparently the dragon is facing west.

give off a crackling and a bluish glow.  As you near them, your skin
tingles and your hair stands on end.  You also see an airlock.

This is a narrow catwalk, open on the sides, leading north and south. 
There is nothing to prevent you from falling into the darkness below
should you lose your footing on the metal walkway.  Looking up for a
dizzying moment, your eye follows thick bunches of tubes wires and
cables running between rooms to the east and west.

You are forced to make your way along the walls here, since the main
part in the center of the floor is occupied by two large pipes.  They
rise vertically up from the room beneath, and bend at a sharp angle,
running along the ribbed roof through the eastern wall.  Gurgling,
whooshing noises indicate some activity in the room below and within
the conduits.

warmth and permit a faint illumination to fall upon a raised mound in
the middle of the concave floor.  You also see a dark pod.

empty into a broad metal base over which is secured an immense
bladder, once the skin of some gigantic living creature.  Patched and
mended in numerous spots, it is still air and water tight.

brass hood that traps most of the gas, siphoning it off westward
through large pipes.

you see a large tank in the center of the room below.  You also see a

cables running between rooms to the east and west.

You are forced to make your way along the walls here, since the main
part in the center of the floor is occupied by two large pipes.  They
rise vertically up from the room beneath, and bend at a sharp angle,
running along the ribbed roof through the eastern wall.  Gurgling,
whooshing noises indicate some activity in the room below and within
the conduits.

This is a narrow catwalk, open on the sides, leading north and south. 
There is nothing to prevent you from falling into the darkness below
should you lose your footing on the metal walkway.  Looking up for a
dizzying moment, your eye follows thick bunches of tubes wires and
cables running between rooms to the east and west.

This room is high but almost all the space above your head is crammed
with pipes, wires, tubes and contraptions that converge here.  The
snakelike coils and cables leading into the eastern wall of the room
give off a crackling and a bluish glow.  As you near them, your skin
tingles and your hair stands on end.  You also see an airlock.
Obvious exits: west.

You are in what is obviously the Dragon's head.  This cramped room is
moulded into the shape of a large seat facing forward.  In front of
the seat is a metallic panel displaying several levers organized in
groups.  Two giant, round windows (the Dragon's eye when seen from the
outside) provide a compelling view.  Two large pipes lead down through
the floor directly alongside a small hatch.  You also see the Kaikeyi
disk, the Marc disk, a flared opening, what appears to be some kind of
log attached by a wire to the panel and an airlock.

floor bucks and shudders.  Suddenly the entire dragon heaves upwards,
almost causing you to vomit!  Looking out the window you can see the
dragon appears to have moved into a sitting position.  You can see
that its wings have extended to either side as if ready to fly.

Nixie says, "well the bladder is inflated"

Through the window you see the ground begin to move downwards.  The
room sways a little.  A giant whump-thump marks the movement of the
dragon's huge wings as it strains to keep the contraption balanced.

Soon the features of the land become tiny and the blue sky prevails. 
Soft clouds are within arm's reach as the dragon-machine floats by
with its beating wings.  In several directions you can see the
vaporous distortions of Essence flows which criss-cross in chaotic
patterns at this altitude, making some directions of travel
impossible.

You are at the north end of a large clearing.  Several ramshcakle huts
are scattered around it.
Obvious paths: southeast, southwest, descend.
Apparently the dragon is facing southwest.

You come upon the northern edge of the clearing.  Dense underbrush and
closely-spaced pines made progress northward something you would
rather not contemplate.  The shadowy presence of the black obsidian
dome dominates your view, even here.  The area also is the
northernmost outpost of the cluster of huts, with one lying to the
side of the path's end.
Obvious paths: southeast, southwest.
Apparently the dragon is facing west.
