[Note: Many folks wonder about a very special harp in Twilight Hall
named Dreamweaver. It is named after the greatest bard that GemStone
has ever had. After months of searching, I have finally found some
of Dreamweaver's performances to share with you. I am uncertain of
the dates, other than they occured when Elvanion was in charge of
weddings and Houses. I have left a small clip of Elvanion in the
beginning of this file so that some of you can help me date the
performances.]
-------------------------The Elvanion Clip-------------------------
>
[Temple, Bridal Room]
Soft candlelight casts a warm glow about the room. The white marble
floor is covered with hand-woven rugs and a huge mirror hangs from the
wall in an ornate frame of gold. Here, the bride and her attendants
await the start of the wedding ceremony in privacy, serenity, and
comfort. You also see an oak door.

with frilled lace sleeves and a long flowing train, a gold ring, a
crystal amulet and a small silver cross suspended from a delicate
chain.

You are holding a bleached white windak staff in your right hand.
You are wearing some travel-stained boots, some rugged Haidic campaign
armor, a blue Iorak sash, some battleworn bracers, a translucent ring,
a silvery blue lunarni bark weapon holster, a dark weather streaked
haversack and a blue plumed Haidic warhelm.

[Temple, Corridor]
Fragrant flowers are crushed beneath your feet as you walk down this
corridor of polished white marble. An ornate arch of pink granite
marks the entrance to the wedding chapel, where many a blushing bride
and her betrothed have exchanged their vows of everlasting love under
the watchful eyes of their gods. You also see a white marble arch
leading back to the main temple and an oak door.
Obvious exits: north.

Maera came through an oak door.
>
[Assuming you mean a pink granite arch]
[Temple, Wedding Chapel]
Stained-glass windows glow like jewels, reflecting the light of the
many pure white candles that flicker around the simple altar where

-------------------------Song Number One--------------------
>
Dreamweaver smiles and pulls a beautiful lute back up into her lap.
Softly, the notes begin a gentle rocking rhythm.
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"My journey brought me here alone,
Dreams to weave, songs to hone.
But elusive was every dream I tried,
No songs there were for me to guide."
>
(Dreamweaver gets a wistful, far-away look in her eyes.)
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"Until one midnight he came to me,
And we met under the Dreaming Tree.
Who can say now just who charmed whom
When we danced together under the Moon."
>
Dreamweaver smiles warmly while the music subtly changes under her
fingertips. A little faster, the melody a little more touching...
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"The fire I could see in his eyes
Burned in my blood, to my surprise."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"The question that lay upon his lips
I did not want to wait to sip."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"His hand reached out and brushed my face.
Trembling, I stepped into his embrace."
>
(Dreamweaver smoothly slows the music back into the rocking rhythms
that started the song.)
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"When all around me the world reeled
And then for me, my fate was sealed
That moonlit midnight he came to me,
And we danced under the Dreaming Tree."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"No more were there dreams without end
The visions came again, like an old friend.
The songs unlocked now from my heart
Soared within this dancing start."
>
(Dreamweaver continues to play the lute while speaking clearly above
the music...)
>
Dreamweaver recites, "Passion was the fire that replaced the cold"
>
Dreamweaver recites, "Water fed my questioning, thirsting soul"
>
Dreamweaver recites, "Wind kissed my cheek with a gentle touch,"
>
Dreamweaver recites, "and in my ear, a whispered, "Shush."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"Then the earth itself danced with me,
That night under the Dreaming Tree."
>
Dreamweaver leans back.
>

>
Dreamweaver sings:
"The fire I could see in his eyes
Burned in my blood, to my surprise."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"The question that lay upon his lips
I did not want to wait to sip."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"His hand reached out and brushed my face.
Trembling, I stepped into his embrace."
>
(Dreamweaver strums her lute dramatically. She looks you right in the
eye and slowly sings...)
>

"That midnight my dreams were set free
When he danced with me,
Under the Dreaming Tree."
>
Dreamweaver smiles at the happy couple and finishes the song with
gentle rocking notes under her voice.
>
Dreamweaver nods to Palma.
>
-------------------------Song Number Two-------------------------
[Note: Unfortunately, I do have have the entire song ]
>
(Dreamweaver bends her head over her beautiful lute and begins to pluck
delicate broken chords on it. As she finished the introduction, she
lifts her head and begins to sing.)
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"The words of love make a circle complete,
The sacred binding, spoken softly and true.
One heart to another, life's most precious gift,
And these words are more than "I love you."
>
Dreamweaver smiles softly as her eyes take in the audience. The music
sounds sweet and melodious as she turns to sing to the bride and
groom.
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"In the elements of love the circle is held fast,
The man, the woman, in each other are made whole.
And no sweeter fate could there be at last,
Than the eternal pull of soul to soul."
>
(Dreamweaver builds up a crescendo as the song changes ever so
slightly. There is a reverent and clear tone to her voice.)
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"~
In your eyes I see, the flash of fire,
Glowing endlessly, to spark this heart's desire.
And from this burst of empassioned flame,
The power of Fire is Love's own Name."
>
Dreamweaver smiles serenely and looks at the happy couple, singing to
them.

-------------------------Song Number Three---------------------------
>
Dreamweaver says, "This is called Winter's Rose"
>
(Dreamweaver begins to sing, a smile playing on her face as she makes eye
contact with you.)
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"When Winter's Rose to my hands came,
The red still deep as any crimson wine,
It sang to me, whispered soft my name,
And bade me listen, before its fleeting time."
>
(Dreamweaver lowers her head over her lute, a more ethereal quality coming
into the song, then she lifts her eyes, seeming to look for something behind
you as she sings the song the rose taught her.)
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"In the spring, a rose will bloom,
The season's first for marveling eyes,
The morning touches petals dew strewn
And awaits the poets and bards to arise."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"Then in the summer, many roses open full and bright,
Coloring the senses with their aroma and hues,
They bask in the warmth of the full sunlight,
And lovers pluck handfulls, ardent mates to amuse."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"At autum's first touch of frost, roses wilt,
Only the hardier ones will much longer survive.
In a world of browns, the proud color is gilt,
Watching, waiting, for their turn to die."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"But a Winter Rose, is love's own endeavor,
Nurtured, protected, out of the ice and snow.
Rare and defiant, it remains a sign ever
That with care and attention, love will grow."
>
Dreamweaver smiles as she looks back at you again, the music turning back once
more into the warm ballad that it started out.
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"Then Winter's Rose, in my hand still held
Ended the proud, proud tale.
I gazed at it, still under its spell,
Slowly slipping back here, the song unveiled."
>
Dreamweaver smiles and nods her head with the music.
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"Never again will I look at a rose
The same as I have before.
Now each season's blooms will disclose
A tale and song of wisdom's lore."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"When Winter's Rose to my hands came,
The red still deep as any crimson wine,
It sang to me, whispered soft my name,
And together we waited out its time."
>
(Dreamweaver slows the pace of the music down, becoming softer at the same
time, but her voice holds your attention.)

"Together we sang the song again,
Winter's Rose and I.
Together we waited,
and celebrated,"

it once, a young man asked about some of the people in the song."
>
Dreamweaver says, "Giving that some thought as a good idea, I decided to
prepare this manner of performance and talk between the verses, naming our
pioneers."
>
Dreamweaver says, "Remember, now, Kelfour's Landing was a place almost just
like this one, which those who went before us here settled."
>
Dreamweaver says, "Some of these peoples names are on the very streets of our
town now."
>
(Dreamweaver builds the music up as she begins the song.)
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"The boats first arrived with the tattered crew,
Refugees from some distant kingdom's doomsday.
Homeless, and hungry, from danger they flew,
And established the Landing here on the bay."
>
(Dreamweaver speaks over the music, looking out at you, and explains...)
>
Dreamweaver recites:
"Among the First, that still you will know,
Only Lady Gira and Lord Bardon remain to tend essence flows.
But Tesset, Jarik and Armand walked long ago,
They, too, helped the land to prosper and grow."

Dreamweaver sings:
"They worked day and night to secure the town
For the pioneers who would follow them here,
The walls went up, the beasts went down,
And the message was sent out loud and clear..."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"Come to Kelfour's Landing,
Come to seek your fame!
And with a promise of new adventure,
The fortune seekers came,
Oh, the fortune seekers came!"
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"The paint was still wet on the gates to town,
When the travellers began to arrive.
Weary, and lost, from a journey afar,
They were lucky to just be alive."

Names now faded from even the tombstones."

>
Dreamweaver recites:
"Vesitsa, a healer - Yuri, and his friend Benar,
Came along to adventure with Dort and Dagmar.
Lightning and Unum, Winter and Slaughn,
Dagger held godhood for one night until dawn."

Dreamweaver sings:
"Come to Kelfour's Landing,
Come to seek your fame!
And with nary a hope for resurrection,
The fortune seekers came,
Oh, the fortune seekers came!"

music.
>
Dreamweaver says, "What fortunes would else there be told"
>
Dreamweaver asks, "Without a bard to sing them bold?"
>
Dreamweaver says, "The town's first performer was a talent rare,"
>
Dreamweaver says, "Who was called Arlie Quinn, Bard Extraordinaire."
>
(Dreamweaver continues on with the song, strumming on her lute with a flair.)

"They forged the first trails into our own woods,
And learned magic all over again.
Without enchantments, the hunting was hard,
And death was how each day would begin."
>
(Dreamweaver speaks out over the beat of the music, almost chanting.)
>
Dreamweaver recites:
"Tulkas Gwath, the Hero walked then in the town,
And Mendle, Swiftkill, Callista, and Cyann.
Natasha and Eowynn healed near and far,
The wounds of all, silently bearing the scars."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"But while they were busy and hard at work,
A dark spectre began to take hold,
Whispers of easier, of quicker ways,
Began the seduction of the Power of Olde."
>
Dreamweaver leans forward.
>
Jingleberry just arrived.
>
Jingleberry just went north.
>
(Dreamweaver builds tension in the music, her voice grows in intensity as she
speaks again...)
>
Dreamweaver recites:
"Deeds unknown these adventurers did,
Who stood for valor and for right made a bid.
Blumokshadavhar and Landreth, Bocca and more,
Shined light into shadows and continued Ages' war."

"But Come to Kelfour's Landing,
Come to seek your fame!
And with the promise of more and more,
The fortune seekers came,
Oh, the fortune seekers came!"

Who could not stand against the Mad Mage for long."

The fortune seekers came,
Oh, the fortune seekers came!"
>
(Dreamweaver speaks faster, the music's tempo speeds up with her.)

Life into the newly dead could be breathed."
>

And with Taarna helped brighten many a dead hero's day."

Feckly was new then, too and Zepath mapped like a ranger."
>
Dreamweaver sings:
"Loremasters called for help on great quests,
And the frontier was pushed further along.
The first Great Houses, Paupers to the west,
Aspis in the east and Phoenix in mid-town."

Dreamweaver sings:
"We came to Kelfour's Landing,
We came to seek our fame!"
