All About Troop 469 |
| We started our troop in January 2001, just in time for the cookie sale. There
are 4 of us in the troop: Sydney, Ashlee, Chelsea and Elizabeth. We are all the same
age and only Sydney attends a different school. Sydney and Ashlee have been together since Brownies. Chelsea was a Daisy when her mom was the leader, but the troop eventually ended. Elizabeth was in a troop in Natchez until her family moved back to our town. So, when Ashlee's mom decided to try her hand at being a troop leader we all agreed to join in, (Ashlee, of course did not have a choice). We decided to start off as Cadettes since we could only be Juniors for 1/2 a year. This way we only had to buy the uniform once. Little did we we know that Cadettes were in the process of changing their colors. So, we will be blue till we move up to be Seniors. Our troop has been very lucky to get to participate in so many activities with plenty of opportunities presenting themselves each year. 2002 you will find us making Valentines for the military troops, participating in the Postcard Exchange, and hosting Thinking Day just to name a few.
