Patches Earned 2001
Valentine Patch | We made 150 Valentines along with bags of candy to give to all the kids at the Lincoln Residential Center. |
Cookie Patch | Our troop sold 1,716 boxes of cookies. We hope to sell more next year. Be sure and visit the Cookie Page (keep watching until it gets to the home page...takes awhile) to see what kind are available in our area. |
Gem & Mineral Patch | This is a 3 year program where we will learn about Gem & Minerals (2001), Fossils (2002) and Geology (2003) The picture shows the table set and everything is made from gems and minerals. |
Flag Patch | We are proud to say that we learned about our Nation's Flag, and asked a local Boy Scout named Will to teach us to fold the flag correctly. We earned our patch in February 2001. You can learn more, too by visiting Our Nations Flag. |
Spain Exhibit | The Spain Exhibit was hosted by our State, so of course Girl Scout Day was held here. Troops from all over the state joined together to view the Spain Exhibit. We also got to taste and enjoy cookies from all over our state. |
Camp Wahi Cleanup | Our troop volunteered to help clean-up the campgrounds to make ready for the 2001 Open House. In return we got to spend the night, go canoeing, have a bon fire and we earned a patch. I never told my girls that we only had to visit the Camp in order to receive a patch! Don't Tell!!!! Bogue Chitto Water Park | Girl Souts form ousawr surrounding counties got together to earn our Nature Sensory Awareness Patch. We even got to silk screen a t-shirt at this event. |
