Thomas Robert² Chaves (David Sanchez³, José Perfecto⁴, José Mariano⁵, Antonio María Francisco⁶ Duran Y Chaves, Juan Domingo⁷, Francisco Xavier⁸)⁽¹⁾ was born in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico July 9, 1918.⁽²⁾ Thomas died September 10, 1997 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, at 79 years of age.⁽³⁾

He married Dorothy Pearl Boulware in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, February 2, 1952.⁽⁴⁾ Dorothy was born in Roy, Harding Co., Nm March 10, 1933.⁽⁵⁾ (Additional notes for Dorothy Pearl Boulware⁽⁶⁾) Dorothy died June 6, 1994 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, at 61 years of age.⁽⁷⁾ Her body was interred June 1994 in National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico.⁽⁸⁾ At 20 years of age Dorothy became the mother of Patryka Lee Chaves in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, October 13, 1953.⁽⁹⁾ At 32 years of age Dorothy became the mother of Thomas Robert Chaves III in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, February 3, 1966.⁽¹⁰⁾

At 35 years of age Thomas became the father of Patryka Lee Chaves in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, October 13, 1953.⁽¹¹⁾ At 47 years of age Thomas became the father of Thomas Robert Chaves III in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, February 3, 1966.⁽¹²⁾ According to his death certificate, Thomas Robert Chavez died September 10, 1997 at 2013 Garcia, N.E., Albuquerque, New Mexico which was a private nursing home where he resided during his last few months of illness. He was pronounced death on September 10, 1997 at 8:05 PM of natural causes. At the time of his death, Thomas R. Chaves was widowed and retired from the U.S. Government Department of Defense as a Range Controller. He was buried at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico having proudly served his country in the U.S. Calvary, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. Hillcrest Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Boulevard, N.E., Albuquerque, New Mexico handled the funeral arrangements which included a Rosary at Alameda Catholic Church, and Funeral Mass and a burial with military honors at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Thomas Robert Chaves and Dorothy Pearl Boulware had the following children:
