Miguel received a grant in the Pajarito area sometime after the Reconquest. [Spanish Archives, I, No. 517].

By 1716, old Miguel had died, either in New Mexico, or, more likely, in Mexico City, where the rest of the family had returned. [Spanish Archives, I, No. 512].

In that year the mother came back to visit her two married daughters, and to see about the patrimony due a nature child of another daughter by ex-Governor Cuervo y Valdes. [Spanish Archives, I, No. 265].

Miguel Garcia De La Riva and Micaela Velasco had the following children:
