He married twice. He married Isabel Telles Jirón. Isabel died before 1696 in Santa Fe, Kingdom Of New Mexico.(1675) Isabel became the mother of Joaquín Sánchez 1695.(1676) He married María Rodarte De Castro Xabalera 1696.(1677) María was born in Sombrerete, Nueva España.(1678) María(1679) is the daughter of Miguel De Castro Xabalera and Juana Guerrero.

At 32 years of age Jacinto became the father of Joaquín Sánchez 1695.(1680) Jacinto Sánchez de Iñigo was also a "native of New Mexico," who was twenty-two years old in 1685, when he tried to run away from the exile colony with Juan Domínquez de Mendoza. [Spanish Archives, II, No. 35-A Domínquez de Mendoza might have been the father of these two Sánchez de Iñigo men, the Callados mentioned in 1680; while their mother could well have been one of the adult daughters of Diego López del Castillo.]

He was first married to Isabel Telles Jirón. After her death in Santa Fe, he married María Rodarte de Castro Xabalera in 1696. Here his parents were given as unknown. The bride was a native of Sombrerete, the daughter of Miguel de Castro Xabalera and Juana Guerrero, or de Herrera. [DM, 1696, No. 12; AGN, Mex. Inq., t. 735, f. 275; DM 1701, No. 4, where she inserts name of "Rodarte".]

He gave his age as thirty-five in 1697, saying that he was a native of New Mexico. [DM 1697, No. 1].

In 1715, he asked for a permit to visit outside New Mexico with his son, Francisco. [Spanish Archives, Volume II, No. 183a]. On his return he settled down in the Rio Abajo district.

In 1728 Jacinto led an unauthorized small expedition into the Moqui country, [Bancroft, NMO, 1728] but by 1734 both he and his wife were dead; she was sixty at the time of her death on May 13, and he was "more than fifty" when he died on December 14 of the same year, 1734. [AASF, Bur-2, Albuq].

Know children by Isabel Telles Jirón were: José, who married Teresa Jaramillo; Joaquín, who married Manuel Montoya and then Francisca Guerrero de la Mora; and (Ana) Juana (Isabel), who married Manuel Montoya in January, 1705. Children by his second wife were: Francisco, who married Josefa Chaves, Gertrudis, and Miguel. [Spanish Archives, Volume I, No. 843. Perhaps this Gertrudis was the second wife of old Pedro Durán y Chaves].

[AASF, B-3, Albuq, bapt. of girl, June 12, 1753].

Joaquin Sánchez was thirty years old and widowed of Manuela Montoya, who was buried in Santa Fe, when he married Manuela Francisca Guerrero de la Mora of Albuquerque, in 1725. DM, 1725, No. 5 His first wife was still living in 1720. DM, 1720, No. 1. Known children by his second wife were: María Paula, born February 2, 1730, [AASF, B-2, Albq], who is evidently, but not positively, the one who married Juan Bautista Quintana of Santa Cruz in 1746 [AASF, M-27, Sta. Cruz] and her brother, Francisco. [Spanish Archives, Vol I, No. 864].
