About Georgia Tech Crew

Georgia Tech Crew is a student run club at the Georgia Institute of Technology. It is officially known as the Rowing Club and competes against other clubs and varsity programs around the Southeastern United States and in USRowing national and regional regattas. The club was formed in 1986 and is currently the largest club sport at Georgia Tech. The team accepts all students who are willing to learn the sport of rowing and dedicate themselves to the team. Most new recruits have played other sports but never rowed before. The team shares a boathouse with St. Andrews Crew for high school students. The team practices year round and rows on the Chattahoochee River north of Atlanta. Currently, the team has 65 rowers, 4 coaches, and 15 boats.
