[Tragedy]
Act 1
Scene 5

Night had taken Rion to another room in the factory after a brief conversation. The new room was smaller than the one they’d been in moments before and held only a table, some chairs, and a few boxes.

When they arrived two others were already waiting inside. Fleur was one of them, seated on a small chair in the back of the room. The other was boy who was standing near one of the walls. Rion couldn’t remember seeing him before. He was blonde, like Fleur, and had soft features and large blue eyes.

He nodded at them when they came in, “Since he’s with you, I guess Needle’s told you it was okay if he stayed.” His voice sounded familiar to Rion, one of the voices he’d heard when he’d first woken up. So, that meant this was probably Chien.

“Yup. Needle’s isn’t here yet? I thought I was late?” Night shrugged as he looked around the room. “Oh yea…you can sit there if you want to, Rion.” He gestured towards a chair near where Fleur was sitting.

“So, Rion’s his name?” Chien asked, watching Rion as he walked over to the chair. Night nodded, grabbing a chair near the door and sitting in it backwards. “Yup. Rion Steiner, I think,” He looked over at Rion, “That right?” Rion nodded.

“Sounds kind of familiar…” Chien muttered, shrugging as he leaned back against the wall. Night scratched the back of his head, looking at Rion and then back at Chien, “yeah, I thought so too, but…”

The door opened then, causing Night to jump and curse a little too loudly. Chien glared at him and Night nodded apologetically before looking towards the person who’d entered.

Rion guessed that the man who walked in was Needles. He looked older than everyone else in the room and was tall and thin. Bandages were wrapped around his upper arms and wrists. Long dark hair fell into his face and hid his eyes from view. From the way the others reacted, Rion also guessed Needles served as their leader.

He looked over at Rion then at Night, “This him?” Night nodded quickly, pulling nervously at his sleeves. Needles nodded, looking back at Rion again before moving to the table in the center of the room. “Night, you said you saw those…things attacking the fence around the generator, right?”
“Y-yup. They tore down the fence then they messed with something back there and broke it. Probably some kind of switch or lever. I don’t know what it goes to, but it’s definitely broken.” Night pulled at his sleeves the entire time that he spoke, stretching them out over his hands and making it appear as if the shirt was too big for him.

“And the men in black?” Needles asked after a momentary pause. Chien folded his arms across his chest, leaning back against the wall, “So far, they just hang around and watch but they are getting closer,” he frowned, “And if you get to close to them, they’ll attack you…psychics of some kind…”

Arabesque? And now Rabbits?

“You know something, don’t you?” Chien spat, glaring at Rion, “You showed up shortly after they did. There’s gotta be a connection. Why don’t you…”

That’s enough!

Some sort of mental command in a familiar voice. The words rang in Rion’s mind and, since he’s stopped talking, Chien had apparently heard it as well.

“We need to figure out why they’re here,” Needles spoke calmly as he looked back at Rion, “However, if you do know something…”

…Please…

That same voice again. This time, Rion recognized it as Needles. He hesitated a moment, “They’re Rabbits. They server Mother, Dorothy…They’re a type of Galerian…”

“Type of what?!” Chien stammered, stumbling forward. Needles looked in his direction and the blonde muttered a quick apology before straightening up.
“Who’s Dorothy?” Night asked, looking up at them for a moment before going back to his sleeves, “That computer?” “You were probably too young to remember much about it,” Chien shrugged, “But I don’t think it matters much anyway.”

“Night, could you and,” Needles looked over at Rion, “I’m sorry, I don’t know your name.” Rion frowned but answered, “Rion Steiner.” Needles nodded, “I’d like to talk to you.” He looked around the room at the others, motioning for them to leave.
“Whoa, whoa! Then why do I have to stay?” Night asked, pulling the goggles back down around his neck. After the others had left, Needles replied, “Because you’re the one who found him.” Night shrugged, over exaggerating the gesture, “Whatever.”

“Do you know what’s going on? Why are they here?” Needles asked in a serious tone as he looked over at Rion, sitting up on top of the table.
“Mother is dead,” Rion stated, “And I was looking through some files when I learned about you.”
“And our replacements?” Needles asked. Rion shook his head, “Also dead.”
“What about you?”
Rion frowned, pausing for a moment before nodding, “I’m a Galerian.”

“So then…Why are you here?”

“I wanted to make sure that no one would try to restore Mother…”

Needles shook his head, “No, friend. She cast us out and treated us like dogs. If someone is trying to bring her back from the dead then I would help you to stop them.”

“Hey, hey! Wait a sec, you think those red things and those men in black (“Here come the men in black, “ Sorry, couldn’t resist ^__^) are trying to bring back whoever this Mother person is?” Night jumped up out of his seat, clearly confused.

Rion thought for a moment then nodded, “Yes.”
