Renaissance, Reformation and Enlightenment

• Great artists like Da Vinci, Michelangelo
• Humanism- a movement where people say if you can’t touch it you can’t believe it.
• Atheism comes along
• Lock, Montesque, Reausseau were philosophers
• Clothing
• People question gouts, church and science (They are going to question the idea of god and God)
• The only church was the Catholic church
• Music “Baroque”
• Interest in learning
• Proportional/ 3 dimensional, and symmetrical art
• Reawakening (you start to see the arts and different kinds of sculptures)
• Gutenberg (Famous for creating the printing press) now the bible can be produced in addition, this allows any information to be produced to places. (Significant invention of the world)
• Martin Luther (Nails the 95 theses on the church door) (Christian monk), and John Calvin (Predestination guy)
