Julius Caesar Act 2 Questions
a. Brutus mentions butchers because a butcher slaughters animals and sometimes even people. Brutus was talking about the blood that was going to be shed when they were going to be killing Caesar on the 15th of March.
b. The words of Caesar's ghost are ironic because Caesar is trying to scare Brutus with his spirit. Caesar's spirit will frighten Brutus to where he will feel secluded and panicked.
c. Brutus tries to make this horrible crime that he is about to commit civilized and right for the people of Rome. Brutus believes that by him killing Caesar, the people of Rome will be saved. The real crime he is about to commit is terrible.
d. It is easy to get rid of Antony because he is loyal to his dictator, Caesar. Antony respects and loves the person whom he is serving under. Antony would do anything for Caesar if it means die for the "king."
