Tragedy:
Tragic Hero: Brutus
He has Magnitude: Patrician, honorable man, ruling class.
Hamartia: Cannot judge other peoples character.
Anagorisis: argues with Cassius about bribes says he didn't kill Caesar
Periptiea: Visits from Caesar's ghost and when he losses 2nd battle
Catastrophe: Brutus commits suicide
Catharsis: fear and pity
Brutus has two personalities. Nature makes a noble and intelligent man. Brutus is unconscious. He doesn't know about his own virtue until he decides to assassinated Caesar. When we get into trouble we try and cover it up. We try to rationalize and exaggerate.
