1. All these details are in common in some ways. The examples of love are the opposite.  The examples that are given are sad, gloomy, comparisons with love. These comparisons that the speaker has given us show that he has not had a great experience with love. 

2. The speaker's overall opinion of love is that  love is bad. The speaker is talking about the negative aspects of love and the bad things that come with love. The speaker says that love is bad and no one should be involved with it.
