I think that the Author liked Farquhar in the second part of the book,
he complimented him on many things that he did in his life. I think that
the narrators think that Farquhar is foolish for going to the bridge when he was
not a solider. I think that the Author does not like war because Farquhar
is foolish by taking matters into his own hands. It shows this by saying
that he is a solider at heart.
Some of the things that the author compliments Farquhar on Being a slave owner,
a well-to-do planter, in a highly respected family, a politician, and devoted to
the southern cause.
