Religion in Ireland

-The Celtics settled around 400 B.C. Ireland should be very paranoid. Israel too.
-The Vikings terrorized Ireland 800-1016 AD they were in to pillaging and plundering
They would drink large quantities of beer and then they would practice themselves getting angry.
-Around 1000 AD the earth started to warm up
-The Vikings started to all of a sudden become farmers. Around this time period there was a movement towards Christianity.
-1066 The French invaded
-1172 King Henry II declares himself Lordship over Ireland. Most Irish start to become catholic. The English have superior technology and most of the times are going to win. Had superior was technology. After a series of battles the English secure the region. They gave the Irish 1/3 of the land. The English gave the Irish the worst part of the land
-We now have a split between religion and economics.
-English become extremely wealthy and the Irish become poor
-Today 2/3 of the people are pretty much catholic, 1/3 are protestant
-The Catholics want reunification. They want a catholic Ireland
-IRA: Irish Republican Army (catholic)

-AIDS= Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome
50-80% of Africa’s population has AIDS. The babies are born with AIDS
The way AIDS came along was there was a Danish doctor and she was trying to treat the disease and then a monkey bit her. Aids are a serious threat and it is on the rise. The virus incubates your system.
Aids in it self does not kill you. All it does is breaks your system down and a common cold can kill you.
They now have a drug for AIDS and it is called AZT.
Every 10 minutes someone is infected and this disease is non-discriminating
