Greg's Journal - August 13th, 2003 - Day 10

Our plane left at 8:20 so we had to be at the airport at 6:20, so we had to be at the dock at 6:00 to meet the taxi, so we had to load the luggage into the dinghy at 5:40, so we had to get up at some god awful hour. Gail went with us to the airport, so we said goodbye to Dave at the dock. Things went pretty smoothly thorugh customs in San Juan, although we had to walk a mile to get there. Driving home from Chicago was hard - we wanted to be home! Good thing we had the cell phone. Around West Liberty traffic was stopped and backed up for miles, so I drove through the median, turned around and went north to Hwy. 30 to get home. It's so nice to come home after such a long vacation, especially to air conditioning, unlimited hot showers and big comfy beds.
