General Leonid Pushkin is one of Bond's allies in the movie The Living Daylights. Pushkin first appears in the movie when he goes to the home of Brad Whitaker to tell him to cancel this order of new age weapons. Later he is shown talking with Bond at gunpoint. He and Bond then decide that they must fake his death to keep Whitaker and Koskov off his back. So at a speech, Bond shoots Pushkin in the chest. However, to make it look like he was shot, Pushkin is wearing a bulletproof vest and fake blood packets. Shortly after Pushkin is shown in a back room taking off the bulletproof vest. The last time Pushkin is featured is at the end of the movie when he goes to Whitaker's house and sends Koskov back to Moscow "in the diplomatic bag". |
