Mr. Big is actually Dr. Kananga dressed up as a tough gangster with a plastic mask over his face. What Mr. Big does in the movie is just the same as Dr. Kananga. Kananga appears as Mr. Big only two times during the movie. The first is when Bond is in the Fillet of Soul restaurant for the first time and first sees Solitaire. This is when Mr. Big tells his baddies to kill Bond. The second time is also when Bond is in a Fillet of Soul restaurant. This is when Mr. Big asks Bond if he "touched" Solitaire. This is when Mr. Big finally reveals himself as Dr. Kananga.
