Mr. Kidd is one of Ernst Stavro Blofeld's henchmen in the movie Diamonds Are Forever. Mr. Kidd is in the opening sequence of the movie when he and Mr. Wint are waiting to receive a shipment of diamonds from a South African dentist who smuggles them from the mines. While the doctor was looking at Mr. Kidd's teeth (a setup) Mr. Wint puts a scorpion down his back. When a helicopter comes to pick up the shipment, Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint give them a box with a bomb in it instead of the diamonds. After the helicopter flies away, the two walk away, hand in hand. Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint next give the diamonds (the real ones) to a lady who lives in South Africa as a missionary, they tell her to deliver them to the Netherlands. After she delivers them, Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint make sure she dies and is found in the canal, careful to take a picture "for the children". Later Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint are shown in Shady Tree's dressing room, after they kill him, they walk out of the room, and find out that they still need Shady Tree alive, (too late I'm afraid). When Bond is gassed out of consciousness, Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint drive him out to a construction site and put him in a pipe that is later laid in the ground. The next time that Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint are shown is when they are one the same plane as Bond and Tiffany Case, following them, to make sure they follow their boss's orders. At the end of the movie, when Bond and Tiffany are relaxing on their ocean liner, Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint, disguised as boat waiters, bring in a trolley with a bomb on it. When Bond realizes who they are, he sets Mr. Kidd on fire, and puts the bomb in the hands of Mr. Wint, and sends him off into the ocean. |
