This is my favorite time of the day,
when all is winding down to a close,
and the sun exhales a gentle sigh,
bowing to the quiet cool of the night.

This is when I can collect myself,
my thoughts, and my feelings for the day,
and feel a satisfied delight
or consolation that I had at least tried.

For in the brilliance of the setting sun,
I realize that beauty is not in the glare of high noon,
but in the graceful withdrawing of the sun from its height,
bowing peaceably to the quiet cool of the night.
