* Implemented MPEG-4 FGS codec and 3D embedded wavelet video codec (extended from JPEG2000)

* Investigated efficient algorithms for H.264.

* Resource allocation for low-delay video communication: Develop efficient algorithms to provide multiple MPEG-4 video transmission with low delay and low fluctuation of quality.

* Real-time video communication over wireless networks: Construct protocols to model video over MAC and physical layers, formulate the cross-layer optimization problems, and develop fast adaptive algorithms for efficient resource allocation solutions.

* Designed and implemented secure search algorithms in large-scale encrypted database
