Concert in Divino Aqualung(Madrid)19/11/2000

The evening didn't start so good because the police refused to let in the people under the age of 18.
Pretty Stupid pf them only to tell tjis at the evening itself and not when the people bought the tickets.
The Apes themselved were very mad about this, you could hear on their comments during the show.
Once The Show started however it was back to the energetic-ass-kicking music what it's all about.And at this they are very good, this we all know. But it wasn't the end of the problems, Stude had a lot of problems with his equipment, and even had to take out and repair some pieces on the podium, so it was only at the second half of their concert that we could hear the bass playing. But all of this couldn't prevent it from being a great concert.
Sandra had a little intimate moment with one of the security guys, what he didn't like too much, all the other guys in the audience would have loved it i guess!!!!Sandra also invited a girl(Maria, What a coincidence)on to the podium to do some freestyling but it didn't work out so well.
As Allways they played a strong set with all this big songs: No Speech,Open Your Eyes, Move a Little Closer(this is not a love song) and many more, and even a song(I think Suzie but i'm not sure about that)which they hadn't played a while according to Sandra. And at the end they finished with a great "Lords of the Boards".
After the concert stude had to left off some steam because of all his technical problems and he attacked the drum with his bass, and the drum lost i can tell you!!!
Sandra and Dennis also felt they had to make up something to the people and invited some of them to dance on the podium, which was undoubtely and unforgettable moment for this people.
Despite All The Problems it was again a very good evening for all The fans of Guano Apes, at least for them whou could get in!!!

Concert at Bikini(Barcelona) 21/11/00

At this concert they didn't have to cope with as much problems as they had in Madrid. The Club was a little bit smaller than in Madrid but this couldn't put down the good mood there was. It was Full with enthusiastic fans that liked the concert very much.
There was no crowdsurfing or stagediving like i have seen in Portugal but still it was a great concert.
Th right ingredients were used again to bring a very good show, the fantastic songs together with their appearance are always a guarantee for a good show.As Always they also tried to push the limits of fashion : Stude with his palmtree on his head, Dennis with his blue hair, Henning With his fashionable shirts and Sandra with just being Sandra.
Again they ended with a great Version of "Lords of the Boards" undoubtely the favourite song for the fans.
Once Again Their music was the big winner of the evening!!!

For me Personally it was a great trip on which i have seen The Guano Apes tow more times.
At Madrid The Drinks were a little too expensive but in Barcelona they had pretty good Gin-Tonics!!!!it's a recipe i can advise to all of you : a concert of Guano Apes together with some Gin- Tonics and you are guaranteed to have a great evening.
