Song Sparrows:  October 27, 2000.  The only song sparrow I have heard this year in Perth Amboy is still singing on warm days behind the Fayette Street carton factory.  

White-throated Sparrow:  November 15, 2000.  A small flock of white-throats appears to be spending the winter on the north side of Rutgers' Hellier Woods, in a patch of old laurel bushes.  The "Old Sam Peobody" song was unmistakeable.
