Hi everyone ;D I'm baaaaack.

Theres an almost-lemon here! ... got you 8D Actually it's just a kissy scene. omgomg! Its not that bad, trust me.

Anyway, this chapter explains on how Chris' stepfather says something so wrong to Chris. And Sonic overhears. This is such a short chapter, like the first one.

Hello - Chapter 2: Mistake

Sonic was sleeping against a tree right outside Chris' bedroom window. He was having such a nice dream... It was kind of like what he used to do, just sit beside a tree outside Chris' bedroom window... Then of course he would always get interrupted when Chris threw a random object at him from above to wake him up, and tell him that some idiot was trying to take over. Not that were gonna say any NAMES... But. Sonic always felt peaceful leaning against a tree dreaming, it was almost as good as a bed. On the subject of that last thought, He felt something drop down and smack him on the head, a book. He brushed away spiked blue hair that the book dragged onto his face when it fell to the ground, and looked up. You could faintly hear some yelling.

Damn that stepfather. He was yelling at Chris again. Sonic climbed up the tree he was just leaning on, taking quite a while to get up there. He was more used to climbing as a hedgehog, not a human.

"Don't EVER give me that look again!"

"But... I didn't--"

Sonic could hear Chris being cut off with more yelling. He finally got up to the window's level and tried to find a good spot where they couldn't see him.

"Don't talk back to me! God, I hate you! You're so WORTHLESS, you know that?! Your mother NEVER said anything about having a child!" He peered in the window, and saw his stepfather there, golden-blonde hair and brown eyes that looked so menacing at the moment. Then he found Chris on the other side of the room. The fifteen-year old boy was crouched against the wall and looking so defenseless. Sonic tried all he could not to just jump in that window and show him that Chris isnt the only one who is 'worthless'.

"You're so weak, and you can't do anything! You can't do anything, you don't deserve anything! ANYONE! And you know what? You deserved for your father to die. You werent there for him, you werent there in time for him to see you before he died." Sonic was confused as to WHY his stepfather was saying all this. Is this all just a random plot to make Chris feel-- Oh no. If it was, it was working. Chris was over there at his side of the room, looking as if he was about to cry. "See what I mean?! WEAK. Think about everything i've just said! Not that I dont doubt that you do, anyway..." His stepfather finally stormed off and slammed the door. Moments later, Sonic saw a car drive out of the driveway, and finally saw that the coast was clear. Sonic climbed in the window and walked up to Chris.

"Um... Are... Are you okay after all of that?"

Sonic couldve sworn he heard a sniffle from Chris. He finally lifted his head up, his eyes a little red. "It's nothing. He's just in a bad mood, that's all..." Sonic saw a tear run down the boy's face. Sonic said the other boy's name under his breath, suddenly feeling sympathy for him. He lifted up the brunette and placed him on the nearby bed, watching as the younger child curled up a bit, tears still coming from his eyes. The blue-spiky-haired boy layed on the bed beside him.

"Sonic..." Chris began. "... He's right."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean... what if I did deserve for him to die?"

"Chris... What could have you done to deserve his dea--" Before he could finish, He noticed that the boy was now sobbing. Suddenly he gripped the older boy's shirt in his fists. "W-what if I did do something?! Things happen to people for a reason! People DIE for a reason! He buried his face in Sonic's shoulder.

And Sonic, most of all, couldn't stand seeing Chris this way.

"You... You didn't do anything... Don't cry, Chris..." He planted a kiss on the younger's forehead, and lifted his chin up. Sonic kissed him then, something he wasn't able to do for a long while... and while the two were in their loving kiss, the [1]older boy put a hand up to the brunette's collar of his shirt, and undid a button, and then a second. Chris finally noticed this and pulled away, with a confused look on his face. "Wha--" He was silenced then two fingers brushed across his lips, telling him to stop talking. He felt his boyfriend [A/N: Yes, I am AWARE that sounds sappy.] plant small kisses on his shoulder, then putting kisses and licks on his neck. He couldn't help but make small noises at this action, loving what he was doing... but amongst all of these feelings, Chris felt some sort of weird feeling... Like, this wasn't the time to... "...Stop." He recoiled, pushing away from Sonic. "I... don't feel too comfortable with this."

...And Sonic nodded, understanding that he was still a little shy about being touched and kissed all over. He lifted up a hand and brushed the back of it against Chris' cheek and only pulling him closer, his eyes feeling a bit heavy. He closed them, his arm still around his younger lover.

Chris' sleep didn't come easy though. If his stepfather thought that he didn't listen to anything he says... Well, he was going to show him that Chris HAS been listening, and he was going to show it to him in the most negative way possible.

- End of Chapter 2 -

Oooh. What will Chris do? It can only get worse from here. Damn, i'm so terrible at writing kissy scenes. And I thought this chapter was going to be angstier, but it ended up BEING TOO SHORT. So it ended up kinda fluffy. Meh. The next chapter SHOULD be dark, though. Notice the last sentence in the chapter about showing him in the most negative way possible. A clue: His 'way' of showing is going to be him doing something that is a huge problem amongst teens in real life these days. Yeeeh.

[1] - Hahaha, I can't help calling them "younger boy" and "older boy" all the time. It's a habit when I write fics. Eh.
