| It’s a cold morning in the land of Cosrin. In the morning dew, the warrior, Flynn, kneels in the clearing of Ashwood Forrest. Before him he has laid out some supplies. Druid meat and fruit, a canteen of water, some other items along with another set of clothes…and of course, his weapons. Thunderclap, his steed, is nearby, grazing as he arranges the items together. From behind he hears the snap of a twig and, gripping the hilt of the sword on the ground, he looks over his shoulder..then smiles slightly. Upon her giant owl, Heart and Soul, Dove enters the clearing, her smile fades as she notes the gear in front of Flynn. ‘Morning, Dove.’ ‘Flynn?.. you look like you are off somewhere.’ Flynn sighs, seeing worry cross her darkened face. ‘I have to leave Dove.’ With those words, Dove slides off her owl's back and walks slowly over to Flynn, sitting without a word. She looked down and sighed deeply, still listening. He closed his eyes. ‘I have to find Kali.’ ‘Kali? That will be a long journey. She hasn't been seen by mortal eyes in a long while.’ ‘I know. But..’, looking over at her, ‘I finally realized why I left the Fold. I don't worship what Leoni is...just like I left Ica..I don't follow him either. All my life, there has only been one I follow in my heart, now I know and I must find her.’ Dove nodded quietly, looking sad. ‘You misunderstood Leoni, you know. But you must find the one you truly follow in your heart. She would want the same, she wants your happiness and freedom as I do.’ The original guardian lowered his voice, touching her hand. ‘I am not blaming Leoni, or anyone. I just...I know I must. Kali first called me Guardian. Kali always been the driving force behind me.’ Dove looked down and nods again, more to herself than him. ‘And now that you are Guardian again.. you must seek her.’ ‘It's more than that’, looking into her eyes, ‘I need answers..’ Dove’s eyes never left his. ’answers.. you sought answers in time too, Flynn.. what more is there to seek....’ Flynn sighs and responds ‘answers about us for one..’ Dove looks down again, nodding silently. ‘I love you Dove..maybe it's wrong to, but I do’ |
