RANGER DINNER CELBRATING 77 YEARS OF RANGERS. Saturday 7th October 2000. Dinner was held at Guide Centre, some could hardly recongise the place with all the decorations. We proceeded outsite to board a tram that took us on a journey through the city and down to the beach where there was plenty of fun, music, entertaiment and dessert. It was a great night enjoyed by all. |
Odyssey 2001 (an 10 day international camp) 18-30s Night Out. Well, what a night! We jumped on 3 buses from Healesville Sancturay (a wildlife park for Aussie animals) on our way to the city. Each bus travelled in style with niblles & drinks and a good looking hostess. Dinner was served on board the Polly Woodside . We had a little talk about the history of the big ship before heading off in groups of 12 for a scavenger hunt. The water taxis took the groups one by one up the Yarra River to the Crown Casino. A water sample from the Crown fountain was one of the first challenges - mmany dry attempts failed. At least 6 people got soaked from head to toe. Each group were original in locating 2 red bras- some were made, drawn, worn and paid for on the night. Groups arrived one by one to Clix Bar to party on. Pool tables were busy so was the bar. People danced and had a ball. Buses travelled back to camp, with all in bed by 3am. Oh, what a night! |
OLAVE PROGRAM UNIFORM Adult hirt - either Rae Ganim or Pale Bule. Olave Program identity is the Red Scrf with a blue trimming and a Olave Program Bar. Badges can either be worn on a shirt or a Leaders tab. |
SUMMER FLING 2001 Friday 2nd-Sunday 4th Feburary. What a great weekend! Summer Fling was held at Mt Buller. In the winter this is a ski moutain. But in the summer it is bautiful, with the most brillant veiws. Friday night was a "Back to your childhood" theme. Everyone dressed up as a younger version of themselves using pigtails, freckles, dummies, barbie dolls etc. Games were organised inculding, Which What Who?, Parse the Parcel and Pin the tail on the Which What Who? Unfortunalty I missed out on all the fun because we had car trouble and didn't arrive until 2:30 in the morning! Saturday morning a few groups went out hiking and after lunch a treasure hunt was organised. We were required to decipher clues and find hidden objects. Once all the required objects were found, we headed back to Mitre Ski Lodge to assemble them into something spectacular. One group managed to haul a huage metal Ski Hire sign all the way up the hill and hide it under their car for future use. On arriving back, it had miraculously disappeared. Saturday night dinner was a formal occasion. which the organisers did a fantastic job. We blew bubbles between coures, which made a sticky mess all over the tables. After dinner we headed off to the pub for drinks and a few games of pool. Some stayed back and played cards, or watched videos. |
