Miranda Presley (no relation) is new in Nashville...and she's set on becoming a songwriter. Arriving a little too late to the famed Bluebird Cafe, she encounters James Wright, a brazen fellow songwriter, who tries to help her gain entry into the Amateur Night auditions by including her in his lie. She doesn't get in.

After checking into her hotel across the way, she meets Linda Lou Linden and Kyle Davidson, other young songwriters trying to find their way in the Music City. Love triangles, a covert break-in at Trisha Yearwood's house and an ill-planned marriage make this romantic, country-fied tale a lighthearted guilty pleasure.
