Kate Mosley is an Olympic pairs figure skater - who runs through partners faster than her father's money can buy them. Enter Doug Dorsey, a former hockey prodigy sidelined from the pros by now-limited vision. Doug's not that sure about this figure skating thing - but they're both competitors - but they compete against each other almost as though they were opponents rather than partners.

They fight about everything - from music to costumes to the very routine they'll perform. Kate's father is expecting this partnership to result in nothing but gold - literally. Doug's embarassment with his new job doesn't lend itself to family support, and Kate is somewhat less-than-forthcoming about what *really* happened in Calgary. Can they really make it to Barcelona? Is Kate's fiancè right? Is all this fighting leading to Olympic gold - or it something else... like, foreplay?
