Poe is my first rat! She's really smart and fearless. Nothing scares her; it's great. I can have her on my shoulder all day, even if I'm vacuuming or doing dishes. When she was a baby she was really hyper active and then she'd just pass out where ever. She slept on my lap or my arm a lot. She also slept on my desk while I worked on the computer. She's still really hyper, but if I wear her out enough (it takes a lot longer now!) she'll still sleep on me. And if I pet the sides of her face she'll immediately mellow out and lay down and talk to me a whole lot. Actaully she's very talkative; she talks to me a lot when she's riding around on my shoulder, too. She's very grabby; she likes trying to steal my food when I'm eating. She snatches anything I offer her. And one time when I was putting grapefruit seed extract in her water she raced down to lick the dropper. Her favorite foods are lettuce, bannanas, licorice, yogurt, and grapefruit (go figure). I love this rat so much; it's probably pretty pathetic on my part in all reality, but I don't really care. Having the little Poerat to hold and cuddle and play with has helped me deal with some sucky times, so she's my buddy and I'm very attached to her.
