Lust

Crimson painted lips
Hair as dark as midnight skies
Are you my angel?

Slender hand outstretched
Red wine swirls inside the glass
Drink of my life force.

Take one step forward
Meet her gaze head-on and smile
Hello, who are you?

A full, open laugh
Her lips upturned in a smile
And I am afraid.

Hundred years later
"I think I'm going to die here"
She says with a sigh.

The sharp clink of glass
Black velvet crushed in my grip
The curve of her neck.

It's almost sacred
Immersed in our solitude
In amongst the crowd.

Creep into my mind
You are strong but I am safe
I will protect you.

Submission

Come with me; my dear
now to the forgotten place
Water, stone and wood.

Smoke your cigarettes
Inhale the smoke and let go
Desecrate my place.

I am begging you
Take me now just as I am
Please make me better.

Or if you choose, worse
Lead me into temptation
Or away from it.

Awakening

"He will take you back"
The stone fades beneath my palms
I think I'm dying.

Now across the room
You catch my eye and I freeze
I am always yours.

The man beside me
Touches my hands and I turn
He is so selfish.
I smile; I pretend
To listen to everything
That he has just said.
