Ballet

Ballet is a very graceful type of dance. It may seem so flowing, but you need lots of muscle to control all your moves. There are the basics that anyone can learn, the feet positions and arm positions.

There are the feet positions, which are first, second, third, fourth and fifth. First position ; legs straight, heels together, feet and toes pointed outwards. Second position; first position with feet and legs spread apart. Third position ;one foot still in first position and other foot, heel in towards the middle of the other foot. Fourth position; keep the one foot in first position, and move other foot from third position forward about six inches. Fifth position; still keeping one foot in first position, other foot's heel touching the inner side of the foot's toes.

There are the arm positions, which are brasbra, first, second, third, fourth and fifth. Bras bra; arms rounded downward, a few inches away from your body. First position; arms rounded forward, in line with your shoulders. Second position; slide arms open to sides, but be able to see your elbows from the corner of your eyes. Also keep shoulders down and think of lifting your elbows up(rotate).Third position; keeping one arm in second position and bring opposite arm back into first position. Fourth position; from third position  move the arm  that was in first position up above , keeping arms rounded. Make sure you can  see your hands out of the top of your eye. Move the other arm that was in second position back into first position.. Fifth position; from  fourth position, move arm in first position in line with other arm above.
