Cash & CurrencyCash CardsAll Characters get a Cash Card, which is similar to the Debit Cards of today. Roll 5D100 to determine how many Credits the Character has on his/her Cash Card. When the Character uses the Cash Card to buy something, the amount is debited from their account. CurrencyThe most common hard currency is used is gold, typically in the form of bars. A single gold bar is worth 1000 Credits, which cannot be traced since it doesn't use the Cash Card system. Mercenaries, Terrorists, and anyone else who wishes to avoid the authorities will ask for payment in gold as opposed to using a Cash Card or Credits since both can be easily traced.
As for legal tender, none was ever mentioned in any UC series that we've been able to find. For posterity, we've decided to use common currency, namely Credits, in the form of paper currency and coins. The lowest denomination is the 1 Credit coin, and the highest is the 100 Credit bill. SalariesAll OCCs, except Civilian OCCs, will receive a weekly Salary. Depending on their OCC and Rank, a character can receive anywhere between 250 Credits to 2000 Credits per week, which is automatically deposited by their Faction or employer into their account.
Civilians receive Credits depending on what they do, for example: a Mercenary gets paid by Contract, Guerrillas tend to sell whatever they loot from raids, Master Thieves steal for a living unless they are hired to steal something specific.

Note: Spy's Bonus per Mission is essentially Danger Pay, the Game Master decides how much the bonus is depending on the difficulty of the mission. Accomplishing additional mission goals can also count as a cash bonus for a Spy. i.e. Find the enemy MS test site AND get fake I.D. badges so the Special Ops people can sneak in to steal the prototype.
