| A lone starfighter speeds into the Earth's atmosphere past an OZ patrol. Giving chase, the OZ transport dispatches one Lieutenant Zechs in a Leo suit and a few Aires to destroy it. Meanwhile, Relena Dorlan witnesses the event while returning to Earth from the orbiting colonies with her father, Defense Minister Dorlan, a member of the Earth Sphere Alliance. Zechs easily dispatches the starfighter with his beam cannon - or so it appears. The starfighter then transforms into a mobile suit made of Gundanium, or otherwise known as a Gundam! The Gundam destroys the two Aires with one shot. Zechs then dives in to hold up the Gundam, sending it crashing into the sea. Zechs, meanwhile, parachutes to safety. Arriving on Earth, Relena forgoes following her father to an alliance meeting to walk home herself. Walking past the local Marina base, she witnesses a cargo plane take off, heading to the place where the Gundam crashed to salvage it. As she looks out over the ocean, something catches her eye - a body! She runs down to the figure, only to find a young man in a military uniform. While he is unconscious, she calls for an ambulance. Meanwhile, Lietenant Zechs reports the presence of Gundams on Earth to Colonel Treize Kushrenada, member of OZ. Kushrenada then reports this development to an alliance council. Meanwhile, the young man wakes up as the ambulance arrives. He then attacks the medics who get out to help them and steals the ambulance, driving into the sunset. At the same time, 4 other Gundams and their pilots are wreaking havoc across the globe, destroying multiple Earth Sphere Alliance installations and troops. This brings the total to 5 Gundams on Earth. After this, Relena returns to her school from her trip to space, where she is the friend of every student. A new student then arrives - the boy she saw on the beach! He introduces himself as "Heero Yuy", then sits at the desk next to Relena. After school, Relena gives Heero an invitation to her birthday party, which is tomorrow. He rips it up. As Releena starts to cry, he wipes the tear from her eye, then parts with the words, "I'll destroy you." Relena wonders who this mysterious man is. |
