what can I say.....

I have also been lucky enough to get the opportunity to fly in Hot Air Balloons from time to time. Thanks to Akerhus Ballong klubb, Svein Aasen and the only commercial balloon company in Norway, Norske Ballongreiser.

There are no balloons in the part of Norway were I am living now, but I am working on it, so hopefully there will be one before summer.

I had one GREAT ballooning experience in May 1996 when we were the first in 99 years to fly a balloon in Longyearbyen, Spitzbergen.

The last one was the swede Ingenior André and many may remember how that ended. It took more than thirty years before someone found them. We were luckier.
Many thanks to
Grenseland AS who gave me a lifetime experience, a one that I will never forget.

What's so great with flying balloons? It is a very special experience. A completely different way of moving through the airspace. As you are moving with the speed of the wind it is still and sounds from the ground can be heard remarkably clear.

Floating quietly over the landscape with only the roar of the burner disturbing the silence from time to time is a unique experience which should be tried by everyone. It may be difficult to get a ride in a balloon, but if you try hard enough I'm sure that most of you will make it.
