The Production Process

Pinus Silvestris
The Scandinavian pine can grow to be 65-100 feet tall with a diameter up to 2 feet if the growth conditions are good. A young pine very often has fibers that grow straight up or toward the sun. The fiber orientation is modulated by the orientation of the light and dark cycles unique to Northern Scandinavia giving rise to a uniquely dense pine wood. Due to the dense nature of the North Scandinavian pine, the wood burns at a much higher temperature compared to less dense pine-wood.
These are very important consequences for the utilization of the pine among the log house workers. The pine can be dried very easily, is easy to work with, and form. Each log is an important part of the final structure.
