Man with Hook @ Campgrounds
There were five children with their camp-leader to go for walk in a forest near the camp. They left the camp the afternoon in order to be back in four to five hours when it will start getting dark(don't forget that in the summer the day is longer than the winter). The team of the boys and their "chief" met a group of girls from an other camp and they sat to eat together. The leader was busy to talk with the woman leader of the girls and the time past very quickly, so it darkened before they even think so.
Both teams being afraid to walk in the forest by the night , decided to sleep there and they would get back the morning. When the children fall asleep the man and the woman went for a walk and the children woke up by a scream a few minutes later. When they got up they found their leaders hung up by a hook in a tree. The shock was too strong and when they got back on their own the other day demanded to go to their homes.
The radio also said that in the same night a young couple was also found dead in their car with the woman raped and the man's head torn out by a metal object like a hook.Since then nobody was allowed to go in the forest again with the children and the camp(who was said to be a well-known one)made some kind of restricted area outside of this noone was allowed to go. Of course the name of the camp was never known. This legend usually is heard as the young couple being murdered by a stranger with a hook, and almost noone knows the whole story of the dead camp-leaders as it happened in the camp.
Ordering Pizza?
Someone was on the war path with the owner/owners of one of the hundreds stores of a well known around the world pizza-restaurant ,it's name for conspicuous reasons i am not revealing.Whatever his arguments with the owners he ordered a pizza some day from the specific restaurant but they refused to get him his pizza, due to his bad relationships with them. Finally after being very annoying (and the interference of a police officer) they admitted to deliver his pizza immediately. He ate it leaving some pieces untouched and the next day when he woke up he found his face and his body full of pimples. Terrified he run to the hospital and after a short discussion he decided to bring some pizza leftovers for chemical tests. The results showed that pizza had five different traces of human sperm on of them having syfilis. Huge amount of money were paid in order nothing to be revealed.
Buried Alive
My great-great grandmother, ill for quite some time, finally passed away after laying in a coma for several days. My great-great grandfather was devastated beyond belief as she was his one true love and they had been married over 50 years. They were married so long that it seemed as if they knew each other's innermost thoughts. After the Doctor pronounced her dead, my great-great Grandfather insisted that she was not. They had to literally pry him away from his wife's body so they could get ready her for burial. Now, back in those days they had backyard burial plots and did not drain the body of its fluids. They simply prepared a proper coffin and committed the body (in its coffin) to its permanent resting place. Throughout this process, my great-great grandfather protested so fiercely that he had to be sedated and put to bed. His wife was buried and that was that. That night he woke to a horrific vision of his wife hysterically trying to scratch her way out of the coffin. He phoned the doctor immediately and begged to have his wife's body exhumed. The doctor refused, but my great-great grandfather had this nightmare every night for a week, each time frantically begging to have his wife removed from the grave. Finally the doctor gave in and, together with local authorities, exhumed the body. The coffin was pried open and to everyone's horror and amazement, my great-great grandmother's nails were bent back and there were obvious scratches on the inside of the coffin.
The Knife in the Briefcase
One summer day in Southampton, New York, a woman pulled into a gas station. As the attendant pumped gas, the woman told the attendant she was in a hurry to pick up her daughter who had just finished an art class in East Hampton. A very well dressed man walked over to her car, and started talking to her. He explained that his rental car had died, and he needed a ride to East Hampton for an appointment. She said that she would be happy to give him a ride. He put his briefcase in the backseat and said he was going to the men's room quickly. The woman looked at her watch, and suddenly panicked. She drove off quickly, having forgotten that the man was coming back to the car for a ride. She thought nothing of him again until she and her daughter pulled into the driveway. She saw his briefcase and realized she had forgotten him! She opened the briefcase looking for some form of identifcation so she could notify him about his belongings. Inside she found nothing but a knife and a roll of duct tape!
The Graveyard Wager
A group of young girls were having a slumber party one night and began to exchange ghost stories. One girl claimed that the old man who had been buried earlier that week in the graveyard down the street had been buried alive. She claimed that if you tried you could hear him scratching at the lid of his coffin still. The other girls called her bluff and told her she was afraid to go there tonight. She eventually accepted their challenge and took a stake with her to drive in the ground to prove she'd been there. She headed off to the gravesite right away and never returned, the others assumed she had "chickened out" and went home ashamed. The next morning as they passed the graveyard they saw her there at the old man's grave. She had accidentally staked her nightshirt to the ground and died of fright.
The Face in the Window
This girl was home all alone watching TV on a cold winter night. The television was right beside a sliding glass door, and the blinds were open. Suddenly she saw a wrinkled old man staring at her through the glass! She screamed, then grabbed the phone next to the couch and pulled a blanket over her head so the guy couldn't see her while she called the police. She was so terrified that she remained under the blanket until the police got there. It had snowed a lot during the day, so the police naturally decided to look for footprints. But there were no footprints at all on the snowy ground outside the sliding door. Puzzled, the police went back inside the house – and that's when they saw the wet footprints on the floor leading up to the couch where the girl was still sitting. The policemen looked at each other nervously. "Miss, you're extremely lucky," one of them finally said to her. "Why?" she asked. "Because," he said, "the man wasn't outside at all. He was in here, standing right behind the couch! What you saw in the window was his reflection."
The Tanning Accident
A young woman was getting married and she wanted to look her very best. She decided that her expensive white dress would be attractively set off by a golden tan. Unfortunately, she waited until a week before the wedding to start her tanning sessions. Salon after salon told her that she could only tan for thirty minutes, twice a week, to start. At this rate, she would not be tan in time for her wedding. The bride then had a brilliant idea: she would tan the maximum amount of time at every tanning salon in town.
The wedding day came, and the bride was beautiful -- dark, perfect tan and all. However, on the wedding night, the groom noticed that his new wife had a peculiar smell -- kind of like rotting meat. As the honeymoon wore on, the smell persisted and grew worse until he could stand it no longer: he insisted that his bride go to the hospital to find out what was causing the awful stench. Doctors examined her carefully, but could not identify the source of the odor.
The bride's health began to fail, and after a few days she died. When the autopsy was performed, the horrified coroner discovered that the woman's internal organs were cooked! Over-exposure to tanning rays had cooked the woman from the inside out, just like a microwave oven, and in the days following the wedding, the bride had begun to "spoil".
The Washing Machine Accident
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (Nov. 13) -- A 39-year-old Charlottesville man died Thursday in a freak accident involving his washing machine. According to police reports,Samuel Randolph Strickson was doing laundry when he tried to speed up the process. Strickson apparently tried to stuff approximately 50 pounds of laundry into his washing machine by climbing on top of the washer and attempting to force the clothing into the basin. Strickson then apparently accidentally kicked the washing machine's ON button. When the machine turned on, Strickson lost his balance and both feet went down into the machine, where they got stuck. The machine started its cycle, and Strickson, unable to free himself, started thrashing around as the machine's agitator went into gear. Strickson's head banged against a nearby shelf the laundry room, knocking over a bottle of bleach, which poured over Strickson's face, blinding him. Forensic reports say Strickson apparently also swallowed some of the bleach. He then vomited, but was still unable to free himself. Strickson's dog then apparently came into the laundry room. At about the same time, according to police, a large box of baking soda fell from the shelf, startling the dog, which then urinated. Urine, like vinegar, is acidic, and the chemical reaction between the urine and the baking soda resulted in "a small explosion," according to police reports. The dog, however, escaped unharmed. Strickson remained stuck in the washing machine, which eventually went into its high-speed spin cycle, spinning Strickson around at about 70 miles per hour, according to forensic experts. Strickson's head then smashed against a steel beam behind the washing machine, immediately killing him. A neighbor heard the commotion and called 911, but Strickson, a 1998 graduate of Virginia Tech, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man in the Car
It was a dark and foggy night. Denise was having trouble staying awake and the road was slick. Her anxiety level was not helped by the fact that she was running low on gas and didn't know where the next town was. Finally, just as she thought she would have to pull over and sleep till morning on the side of the road, a tiny gas station appeared -- very rundown, but a gas station nonetheless. She pulled in. The attendant made his way around the car and seemed to be very distracted as she asked him to fill it up, and even seemed to be making faces at her. He finally agreed to get the gas, but then asked her to pop the hood of the car because it "smelled like trouble." Her anxiety from being on the road was starting to flare up again, she was all alone in a creepy gas station out in the middle of nowhere and an attendant was finding reasons to keep her there. He asked her to come look at the engine, he had to "show her something". Not knowing what else to do, almost as if in a daze, she did as he asked, all the while wondering why she didn't scream. As she rounded the front of the car he grabbed her arm and said, "This car needs a tow, you'll have to come with me into the office." Then he put his hand over her mouth and forced her into the office. She began to bite his hand once they were inside and he let her go and said, "I'm sorry, but there is a man crouched down in the backseat of your car and I didn't want him to know that I'd seen him."
They called the police who came to arrest the serial killer who, unbeknownst to Denise, had stowed away in her car and was waiting for the opportune moment to add her to his list of victims. Denise and the gas attendant now own the station and their three kids help them with the chores. Isn't that sweet?
Helping Hands
My cousin and I had gone to San Antonio, and we had heard rumors of some haunted railroad tracks. The story was, a school bus full of children had stalled on these tracks with a train coming. The train was going too fast for there to be time to get the children off. So they all died. When we finally found the tracks, we stopped the car, parking it right on the railroad tracks. We were both a little nervous, and scared, and waited for something to happen. Just as we were about to leave, the car started rolling. We were both too freaked out to do any more than grab each other and gasp, eyes wide, mouths open. After what seemed like an eternity, (but was actually less than 5 minutes tops) the car stopped rolling. We looked around, and we were off the railroad tracks. Not, that may not seem spooky, but what we saw next scared us enough to jump back in the car and make the 6 hour trip home. THAT NIGHT. Both of us got out of the car and walked around to the back. After the first 6 hour drive, our car had accumulated quite a bit of dust on it. That's not scary, no. But what was scary was the little sets of handprints all over the back of the car. All the size of children's hands.
Guardian Angels?
There had been reports of several muggings, and possibly a rape during the first week of spring. All the girls were on edge and alot of guys were worried about what might happen. This being a small town college things like this just did not happen, so everyone was in a little bit of a shock from this whole thing. The campus police had asked that noone walk around campus, after dark, alone. The fraternity guys had even offered to walk any female to their dorm whenever they needed it up until midnight.
Cynthia attended was attending this school at the time of all these problems. She was failing one of her classes, so she was spending alot of time in the library trying to get her grades up. One night she fell asleep on a stack of books, when she woke up she looked at her watch and saw it was after one in the morning. Luckily, George, the night janitor, was there and able to let her out, so she could make her way home.
Cynthia was scared to death to walk back to the dorm herself, but could not find anyone to walk with her. So she clutched her books to her chest and started walking quickly to her dorm. The whole way she was praying, "Oh Lord, protect me. Place your angels around me. Oh, Lord, protect me. Place your angels around me." The whole way to her dorm she could hear every little sound around her, like it was right next to her. When she got to the door of the door she heard a blood curdling scream behind her. She looked but could not see for the trees in her way, so she rushed in and called the police.
Since she placed the call and was the closest thing to a witness they had, they asked her to come down to the station and answer some questions. When she went they told her they had caught him, but the girl was already dead when they got to her. It seemed that he had been hiding in the bushes waiting for his next victim and had attacked the girl walking alone about two minutes after Cynthia. Obviously this really freaked her out, but it also made her wonder about something, so she asked the officers if she could speak with the man who had been arrested. This shocked the officers, but they agreed.
Two officers led Cynthia to the cell the man was in. He looked and nodded at her as if he knew her. As she tried to hold back the tears she asked him the one question that was on her mind. "Why didn't you kill me?"
The man looked at her and replied, "How stupid do you think I am? Do you really think I would attack a woman with two big guys on her arm?"
Found in the Cemetery
A marble gravestone in an old deserted cemetery in West Virginia was the legend trip site for a particular group of young adults in the vicinity. The marble statue was of a seated lady, her hands outstretched to all that pass by the resting place. The legend stated that the woman in the grave had died of a broken heart when jilted by her fiancé. The legend trip was an initiation rite: new members had to spend the night sitting in the statue's lap. But the last time anyone tried this, the young woman who sat in the statue's lap met with a tragedy. The difference, you see, was that the young woman was a direct descendant of the fiancé! The next morning the young girl was discovered, still sitting in the statue's lap. She was dead. On her body were found marks as though she had been held in a superhuman clutch. Perhaps the seated lady had gained revenge.
The Ghost Mom
One afternoon, a couple was traveling on the road when all of a sudden at a far distance they saw a woman in the middle of the road asking them to stop. The wife told her husband to keep on driving because it might be too dangerous, but the husband decided to pass by slowly so he wouldn't stay with the doubt on his mind of what might have happened and the chances of anyone being hurt. As they got closer, they noticed a woman with cuts and bruises on her face as well as on her arms. They then decide to stop and see if they could be of any help. The cut and bruised woman was begging for help telling them that she had been in a car accident and that her husband and son, a new born baby, were still inside the car which was in a deep ditch. She told them that the husband was already dead but that her baby seemed to still be alive. The husband that was traveling decided to get down and try to rescue the baby and he asked the hurt woman to stay with his wife inside the their car. When he got down he noticed two people in the front seats of the car but he didn't pay any importance to it and took out the baby quickly and got up to take the baby to it's mother. When he got up, he didn't see the mother anywhere so he asked his wife where she had gone. She told him that the woman followed him back to the crashed car. When the man decided to go look for the woman, he noticed that clearly the two people in the front seats were dead; a woman and a man with both their seatbelts on. When he looked closer, he noticed that it was the exact same woman that was begging them for help in the begining.
The Starved Baby
A young couple were catching a flight to begin a trip of several days, and they had hired a sitter to care for their baby during their absence. When it was time to leave for the airport, the baby sitter had not arrived, so they telephoned her home and learned that she was on her way. They put the baby in its highchair, left the back door open for the sitter, and rushed to the airport. When the sitter arrived, the wind had blown the door shut, and it had locked. She thought the parents either must have taken the baby with them or left it with someone else, so she returned home. When the couple got back, they found their baby starved to death in its highchair.
The Death Letter
In Berlin, after World War II, money was short, supplies were tight, and it seemed like everyone was hungry. At that time, people were telling the tale of a young woman who saw a blind man picking his way through a crowd. The two started to talk. The man asked her for a favor: could she deliver the letter to the address on the envelope? Well, it was on her way home, so she agreed. She started out to deliver the message, when she turned around to see if there was anything else the blind man needed. But she spotted him hurrying through the crowd without his smoked glasses or white cane. She went to the police, who raided the address on the envelope, where they found heaps of human flesh for sale. And what was in the envelope? "This is the last one I am sending you today."
