THE EAGLE, THE MATRIX, E.C.C.O.,

THE DEVIL, THE DRAGON.....ETC, ETC

"Each man is the architect of his own fate".....Appius Claudius Caecus...300 B C

"Elements of a myth gain their meaning from the way they are combined and not
from their intrinsic value, the myths represents the mind that creates them, not
some external reality. Even different versions of a myth are not to be thought of
as fabrications of some true, authentic version, but as an essential aspect of the
structure of myth. On the contrary, different versions are part of the same myth
precisely because a myth is not reducible to a single uniform content, but is a
dynamic structure. Eventually all the versions of  a myth have to be taken into
consideration so as its structure can become apparent.".............Levi Strauss.

"But this "inside" which modern rationalism is so eager to derive from "outside"
has an a-priori structure of its own that antedates all conscious experience.
It is quite impossible to concur how experience in the widest sense, or for that
matter, anything psychic could originate exclusively in the outside world.
The psyche is part of the innermost mystery of life, and has its own peculiar
structure and form like any other organism. Whether this psychic structure
and its elements, the archetypes, ever "originated" at all is a metaphysical
question and therefore unanswerable. The structure is something given,
the precondition that is found to be present in every case"..........C. G. Jung

THE BEGINNING

"I therefore claim to show not how men think in myths but how myths operate in
men's minds without their being aware of the fact"......Claude Levi-Strauss

Since antiquity, mankind  sought and speculated upon the hidden forces in

nature that seemingly controlled and directed their actions.  Seekers,  seers,

mystics, sorcerers, all sought the vision that would show them all that was

concealed, to reveal the  mysteries  of life and death.  But while what each of

them saw was a different vision, most descriptions condense into a vision of a

huge, dark, intricate, dynamic and complex labyrinth that defied description

in ordinary terms. Some saw only the creative process of the world as part of

this complex labyrinth, some saw in it the destructive process. According to

the place, time and cultural settings in which they lived, they described what

they saw in the forms, terms and language of that culture. Thus in some

cultures what took the form of a giant dragon, in another culture it was

associated with the shape of an eagle, and yet another as a god that held

all power.

And there was one thing that was common in their  descriptions of what

they saw : that this was the controller, or appeared to be the controller

of not only all the creatures of the world,  but also all the inanimate objects

that made up the world. But none of the descriptions made sense to ordinary

people who had no drive, desire, predilection or talent for such visions.

"Unfortunately no one can be told what the matrix is. You have to

see it yourself".......Morpheus in the motion picture ' The Matrix'

And so any such descriptions became myths : stories and myths about the

hidden force/s or controller/s, until they became almost a permanent belief

in that culture, eventually leading to the deification or demonisation of the

entity or entities that controlled their lives. The visions became scarcer, and

the beliefs became stronger....eventually becoming the religion of that culture.

Only those cultures that had their visionaries left, insisted upon not reducing

the interpretations of their visions into definitive forms and beliefs, for they

knew that to do that would distort the meaning and significance of their vision,

which was not only of personal significance, but also it's interpretation was not

to be taken as universally valid. Sorcerers and the practitioners of the art

of the sorcery understood this best, and so did not make it into a rigid system of

forms and relationships like science does. Besides, since the vision was not based

upon any direct vision of the sensory system, but was a synthetic vision, sorcerers

understood that it would be meaningless to agree upon a highly personal visual

experience that was the result of a personal synthesis, and just as personal also

the subsequent rationalisation or interpretation of this synthesis.

MANY VERSIONS OF "THE MYTH" of all Myths

"Myths are public dreams, dreams are private myths."....Joseph Campbell

Men of religion churned out  stories of dieties and demons and mystics saw it as

a great mysterious vastness of cycles of creation and destruction. Difference in

visions and cultural interpretations led to different versions of this myth. So

contrasting were these versions that they are virtually irreconcilable in

their contradictory elements. A devil in one culture became a deity in

another, and because of this, "the myth" is irreconcilable between two

different cultures.

"In effect, contradictions, as the unassimilable aspect of human society,
generates myth. Myth derives from the asymmetry between belief and
reality, the one and the multiple, freedom and neccessity, identity and
difference. Myth is the (impossible) synthesis between the diachronic
and the synchronic aspects of language - the attempt to reconcile the
irreconcilable : since the purpose of myth is to provide a logical model
capable of overcoming a contradiction, a theoretically infinite number
of versions of the myth will be generated, each slightly different from
the others. Myth thus becomes the third dimension of language ; in it
a continuous attempt is made to reconcile the other two dimensions
of language - the diachronic and the synchronic. Because complete
reconciliation  is  impossible,  myth  grows  spiral - wise   until  the
intellectual impulse which has produced it is exhausted. Myth grows
then, because, structrually, the contradiction - the asymmetry - which
gives it life, cannot be resolved.".....................Levi Strauss

Now, a lot of water has flown under this bridge and if we are to come to terms

with loads of mythologies, stories and interpretations, we will have to cut out

the crap from them to derive the useful stuff  and arrive at the crux of it all.

" It is therefore to be expected of the poet that he will resort to mythology
in order to give his experience its most fitting expression. It would be a
serious mistake to suppose that he works with materials received at
second hand. The primordial experience is the source of his creativeness ;
it cannot be fathomed, and therefore requires mythological imagery to
give it form. In itself it offers no words or images, for it is "as in a glass,
darkly". It is merely a deep presentiment  that strives to find expression.
It is like a whirlwind that seizes everything within reach,
and by carrying it aloft, assumes a visible shape. Since the particular
expression can never exhaust the possibilities of the vision, but falls far
short of it in richness of content, the poet must have at his disposal a huge
store of materials if he is to communicate even a few of his intimations.
What is more, he must resort to an imagery that is difficult to handle, and
full of contradictions in order to express the wierd paradoxicality of this
vision."........C. G. Jung

WHAT IS THE MATRIX ?

And this is the mother, the matrix - the form into which all experience
is poured The father on the other hand, represents the dynamism of
the archetype, for the archetype consists of both - form and energy.
......C. G Jung

But first of all we have to know just what is it that we are talking about.

What we are talking about is : What is it that makes, controls, holds the

world we live in ?

Both science and religion provide extremely simplistic answers :

for religion it is God ( or any mono entity "X"  ) , and for science it is a set of

laws or equations found, or yet to be found, by scientists, that determine the

behavior of all the "things" or "objects" that exist.

Both these are rejected here as being too simplistic and useless for the

purpose here, and that is : a coherent examination of reality. In accordance

with the mythology as well as the logic of our time, the term that is used

here to refer to the command and control entity of the world as "The Matrix".

The other terms having become somewhat outdated as well as too cultural

specific, the closest general term "Matrix" seems most appropriate, however

when it is felt that other words fit better in the overall context of the

statement, then that should be and will be used.

ATTRIBUTES OF THE MATRIX

"The Eagle controls the destiny of all living beings".

...C. Castaneda ( The Eagle's Gift )

It should be understood at the outset that the matrix is a metaphysical entity

that is not a single entity by itself, but as a composite entity of all the entities

of the world as well as the the interlinking connection between them, as well

as unknown clusters or bands of non-physical entites, as well as the "Spirit".

"Myths are clues to the spiritual potentialities of the human life"......Joseph Campbell

Some of the attributes of the Matrix are :

1. It is the command and control "system" of all the beings of a world.

The word "system" is referred to in a non-physical sense here. This however

does not imply that this "system" has no structure, but rather this implies that

this structure does not have a definitive form like a physical shape or form or

structure, and thus the vision of the Matrix is bound to appear differently to

people from different backgrounds, interests, predilections, etc.  And also

because anything non-physical is "perceived" in terms and concepts of the

physical, a huge amount of confusion persists about it. The confusions should

dissapear with the realisation that the non-physical is a synthesised perception

using base elements of the physical senses, that is, visions, sounds, words etc,

and thus is a highly personal affair.

2. All the beings of a world not only act under the commands and controls of

the Matrix through their responses to the emanations of the Matrix, but just as

well, they themselves can command the Matrix if they have the Power and the

Will to do so. A command so entered or emanated into the Matrix through a

being's affirmative actions then serves as a general command of the Matrix

that has an effect upon other beings who have an opening or window to such

commands, specific or general, as the nature of the command may be. A being

is normally open to only those commands that  generally conform to the already

aquired command and control programs as a process of the being's upbringing

in a social system. At birth, this window is widely open, but as a requirement

for survival, this gradually narrows only to the area of survival and social

concern for conformity. It is the Will of the being that defines the boundaries

and focus of this window to the emanations of the Eagle. A person who conforms

entirely to a particular set of social, cultural norms will have his window of

perception open and restricted only to the narrow band of emanations pertaining

to that society and culture. In effect, such a person can be said to have no

individual Will of his own, and therefore no individuality.

A person having no Will of one's own ( i.e. realised ) has no commands to emanate

and is therefore entirely subject to the commands of the Eagle's emanations that

pertain to the narrow band of emanations of that social system.

3. A Willful act emanates a command into the matrix, also called here as

Intent. Thus the "Intent of the Matrix" is the resultant of the affirmative acts

of the beings that are part of the Matrix, and thus becomes the "Intent of the

World", which effects the then following present and future of the world.

4. The Matrix can be said to come into existence at the moment life is created

on a planet by the Spirit.  The Matrix  ceases to exist the moment life is

extinguished, either through destruction or by  Intended dissolution of the

World by the beings of the world.

5. The relationship between the concept of "Spirit"  and "Matrix" poses some

problems that can become a crucial bottleneck in any metaphysics, which can

then block further understanding, or can lead to confusion.  But it should be

clear from the understanding that "Spirit" is primal as well as eternal, whereas

the "Matrix", which is the control system as well as the "container" of a world,

is thus a creation of the "Spirit" and thus temporary. Thus the Matrix which

contains in it the whole world, is the temporal construct in which the "Spirit"

realises, manifests or tests itself. It is through this process that the "Spirit"

enhances or refines itself.

6. The Eagle's emanations are commands that exert a pressure on all the beings

under its domain to follow its commamds. The emanations are mostly those that

are already in a flow for a long time and have been reinforced through agreement

between the beings of the world. Thus the greater the agreement between the

beings in a world about anything, the stronger become the emanations or commands

to conform upon all the beings of the world. Thus if all the beings of a world agree to

a command to terminate the world, the Matrix collapses and the world comes to an end.

However the Spirit of the world transcends the Matrix, and so whatever remains upon

the collapse of the Eagle is the Spirit of that world.

7. The physical part of the world is only a small part of Eagle's emanations. These are

those emanations that relate to sensory perception and its derivatives.

8. Apart from the emanations that are perpetuated by the beings of a world through

the perpetuation of the accumulated "knowns" as clusters of social and cultural values,

beliefs and concepts, the Eagle has huge bands of emanantions in its inventory that are

normally not accessible to the beings of a world, and therefore properly classified as the

"unknown" bands. Only those beings who have the developed Will or the aperture of

their window of perception open to the possibilities of the "unknown" can possibly

venture into these "unknown" bands.  A Third kind of emanation is that which results

from or is generated as a result of the creative actions of a being, the prime example

of which is creative imagination, which then enhances the space and scope ( bands )

of the Eagle's emanations. The resultant emanations becomes accessible to future

beings, those that have the Will or connection with the intent of the original creator.

THE EAGLE, DEATH and INDIVIDUALITY

An individual is a being who has taken at least one step outside

the cultural matrix in which the being was born and brought up.

In other words, an individual is a being who has to his/her credit

some action or some expression that is spontaneous or creative.

A person has no individuality worth its name if there is no action

or expression that has a creative impact upon the reality of the

world. An individual is defined by the forceful choices and

decisions the individual makes or creates.

The matrix assigns goals, choices and decisions by default to those

who have forfeited the power to make choices, decisions, goals,

ie who have no ability and drive to make their own decisions

and choices.

"The man whom we can with justice call "modern" is solitary. He is so of neccessity and
at all times, for every step towards a fuller consciousness of the present   removes him
further from his original "participation mystique" with the mass of men - from submersion
in a common unconsciousness. Every step forward means an act of tearing himself loose
from that all embracing, pristine unconsciousness which claims the bulk of mankind almost
entirely - and he alone finds that the ways of life which correspond to earlier levels pall upon
him. The values and strivings of those past worlds   no longer interest him save from the
historical standpoint. Thus he has become "unhistorical " in the deepest sense and has
estranged himself from the mass of men who live entirely within the bounds of tradition.
Indeed he is completely modern when he has come to the very edge of the world, leaving
behind him all that has been discarded ond outgrown, and acknowledging that he stands
before a void out of which all things may grow.

An honest profession of modernity means voluntarily declaring bankruptcy, taking the vows
of poverty and chastity in a new sense, and what is still more painful - renouncing the halo
which history bestows as a mark of its sanction. To be unhistorical is the Promethian sin,
and in this sense modern man lives in sin. A higher level of consciousness is like a burden
of guilt, but only the man who has outgrown the stages of consciousness belonging to the
past and has amply fulfilled the duties appointed for him by his world, can achieve a full
consciousness of the present. To do this he must be sound and proficient in the best sense
- a man who has achieved as much as othher people, and even a little more, for unless he is
proficient, he is nothing but an unscrupulous gambler. He must be proficient in the highest
degree, for unless he can atone by creative ability for his break with tradition,
he is merely disloyal to the past" ...Jung

THE BULK OF THE MATRIX   or :

THE GIGANTIC JUNK HEAP OF COLLECTIVE AND
ACCUMULATED HUMAN STUPIDITY

"Modern man must descend the spiral of his own absurdity to the lowest point;
only then can he look beyond it. It is obviously impossible to get around it, jump
over it, or simply avoid it.....Vaclav Havel

"Never underestimate the stupidity of the general public"....Scott Adams

The bulk of the matrix constitutes of commands that are the continuing

beliefs of the large societies and dominating cultural beliefs that have

been taught and reinforced into the masses of people.  The bulk of

the commands of the matrix constitutes of those commands that are

repeatedly used by the mass or majority of the people of the world.

This leads to a cycle or spiral of accumulation or build up of a gigantic

heap of a narrow type of commands that then force most people to

meekly, without resistance, follow these commands, leading to a

mechanical like behavior of the masses of people in the world, who

blindly accept and believe, without questioning, all that they are

taught from birth. Even religious like experiences are "manufactured"

on a mass scale to induce a state of bliss so as to ensure compliance

by all the people to the established norms of standardised behavior.

What may appear to be an 'enlightening experience', on a mass

scale, invariably turns out to be one of the worst kind of deception.

"To experience transformation in a group and to experience it in oneself are two
totally different things. In a large group, the collective psyche will be more like
the psyche of an animal. Which is the reason why the ethical attitudes of large
organisations is always doubtful. The psychlogy of a large crowd inevitably sinks
to the level of mob psychology." ....... C G Jung

"Nor should we listen to those who say "The voice of the people is the voice of God,"
for the turbulence of the mob is always close to insanity"........Alcuin.

NOTES :

THE DRAGON IN CHINESE MYTHOLOGY

The serpent-dragon figure is a symbol of power and authority in chinese mythology.  It is taken as both
a diety as well as a mythical beast .  The dragon was supposed to control the weather. It was also used as
a symbol of power by the emperor.

THE DRAGON IN CELTIC MYTHOLOGY

In celtic mythology, a massive dragon was symbolic of a power that controlled events and creatures, and
celtic druidism has many references to such an mythic entity. The druids of the celtic culture considered
the earth as the body of the dragon and the air or wind as the breath of the dragon.

"Feel the breath of the dragon, sleep in the arms of the dragon"
"Is Excalibre also part of the dragon, Merlin ?"
"You learn quickly"
...............Dialogues from the motion picture Excaliber

THE EAGLE IN NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE

All Native North American Peoples attach special significance to the eagle, and its feathers. The eagle flies higher
and sees well than any other bird. Its perspective is therefore different from those of us held close to the earth. So, also,
does our Creator have a different perspective of what occurs below in this world of physical things in which human
kind resides. The eagle also spends more time in the element of father sky than the other birds and father sky is the
element of the spirit.
The eagle is a symbol of truth, power and freedom, as it roams the sky. Its wings represent the balance needed between
male and female, each one dependant upon these strengths and abilities of the other.
The eagle was given the honor of carrying the prayers of man between the world of earth and the world of spirit where
our creator and the grandfathers reside. Therefore, when one holds the eagle feather, one must speak the truth in as
positive a way as one can, for the ear of our creator is that much closer to the feather of the eagle. ....... Ken Saunders

THE DEVIL in Christian Religion

"Besides, civilization, which now licks us all smooth, has taught even the devil tricks ; the northern fiends'
become a  lost cause - where are his horns these days, his tails, his claws ? ........Goethe

Dr LILLY's E C C O

"There exists a Cosmic Control Center (C.C.C.) with a Galactic substation called Galactic Coincidence
Control
(G.C.C.). Within which is the Solar System Control Unit (S.S.C.U.), within which is the Earth
Coincidence Control Office
(E.C.C.O.). The assignments of responsiblities from the top to the bottom
of this system of control is by a set of regulations, which translated by E.C.C.O. for humans is
somewhat as follows:"

To all humans : If you wish to control coincidences in your own life on the planet Earth, we will
cooperate and determine those coincidences for you under the following conditions:

1) You must know/assume/simulate our existence in ECCO
2) You must be willing to accept our responsibility for control of your coincidences.
3) You must exert your best capabilities for your susrvival programs and your own development as an
advancing/advanced member of ECCO's earthside corps of controlled coincidence workers. You are
expected to use your best intelligence in this service
4) You are expected to expect the unexpected every minute, every hour of every day and of every night.
5) You must be able to maintain conscious/thinking/ reasoning no matter what events we arrange to
happen to you. Some of these events will seem catachlysmic/catastrophic/overwhelming: remember
stay aware, no matter what happens/apparently happens to you.
6) You are in our training program for life:there is no escape from it. We (not you ) control the long-term
coincidences; you (not we) control the shorter-term coincidences by your own efforts.
7) Your major mission on earth is to discover/create that which we do to control the long-term
coincidence patterns: you are being trained on Earth to do this job.
8) When your mission on planet Earth is completed, you will no longer be required to remain/return there.
9) Remember the motto passed to us (from GCC via SSCU):

"Cosmic Love is absolutelely Ruthless and Highly Indifferent:
it teaches its lessons whether you like/dislike them or not."
